    Kobalt 3/8 Flex head ratchet

I'm not sure about SO soft handle ratchets but I've pulled the handle off of two different cheapie soft handle ratchets and they were both cylindrical.

    Unique Wilton Vise on Craigslist

Those are pretty cool, I've kept my eyes open for one for the last couple of years but haven't seen one yet. That asking price isn't horrible either.

sleeve for small flat head screwdrivers?

I've never seen a screwdriver like this but I have a Dewalt bit driver that uses a sliding sleeve to keep the bit engaged with the screw, they call it a "Drive Guide". It works pretty good.

    JoAnn Fabrics Coupon Codes

I'll be honest, I only came in here to tease you guys for shopping at JoAnn Fabrics. :D But thanks for the tip on the headliner material, I didn't know they carried the stuff and that's quite a bit cheaper than I can get it on line. It's a tedious job to replace a headliner but it isn't...

My Wilton doesn't do this, maybe yours is worn out.

    25% off TEKTON pliers @Amazon.

I just picked up a pair of the 5 inch groove joint pliers from my local Meijer for $6 on sale. They are Wilde and are very nice- better in fact that the last pair of 4 inch Channellocks that I bought. Based on that I bought a pair of the 12 inch groove joint pliers from Amazon, with the 25%...

Do you keep 42" Bolt Cutters when you have band saws and cutting discs?

That's a good idea, I've seen them made out of welded concrete reinforcement wire but never rebar, may have to pick up a couple of pieces and try making some.

    Today I made a cannon

When I was about 10 a friend found a freezer bag full of loose ammo in a relative's basement, mostly .22 LR, Long, and Short with some 20 ga shot shells, .25, and .32 ACP stuff thrown in for good measure. We disposed of a lot of the .22s by prying the bullets off, laying them on a 2x4 that we...

    Stashes - Or Why Can't I Remember

Yeah this has started to happen to me with some regularity, sometimes it's scary when I find a stash of something I honestly can't recall purchasing but other times it's fun, like my past self sent me a gift. :eyecrazy:

Trouble having getting Craftsman sockets replaced

That's been my experience the last 5 or 6 times that I warrantied a Craftsman tool. They almost never have the exact replacement for my tool and either give me a substitute (a different model of ratchet, a longer screwdriver, etc) or order the item and ship it directly to me. When they have to...

    2015 Garage SaleThread

Years ago I was out in AZ and picked up a bunch of desert rose and some other cool rocks. I packed them carefully in a cardboard box and put them in my carry on bag, it put me pretty close to the weight limit and I got some weird looks from the TSA folks but they didn't hassle me about the...

You might want to put a "team lift" sticker on that duffel before your turn it over to the ramp agent. :eyecrazy:

Craftsman Toolbox Cleanup - Help with Old Masking Tape Removal

The rubber eraser wheel might still work. I had a vehicle that was missing a piece of side trim but there were remnants of the old double-sided trim tape still on the vehicle. This stuff was old, hard, and dried out but the rubber wheel stripped it off in seconds. I'd tried all kinds of...

Bendpak lift storage stacking a car for a short period of time -

I'll hazard a guess- he doesn't have enough ceiling height to raise the lift high enough to clear the car he wants to park under it. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me, my Bendpak scissor lift settles a bit over time if I don't set it against the locks.

    Welding carts, teeny weeny casters??

I guess because if you put 4" casters in the front then you'd need 8" wheels in the back so it'd sit level and that would make for a high center of gravity.

The Gin & Tonic dispensing vintage suitcase build

I hadn't thought about this thread for 8 months and then, suddenly and inexplicably, I was struck with a compelling urge to find out how it ended. I had no trouble finding it again (although googling "gin and tonic suitcase garage journal" does produce a surprising number of hits) but was...

    Menard's Deals Permathread!

I'm afraid I can't help you with dosage, I fall victim to "if some is good, more is better" when it comes to Seafoam. I used to put MMO in stuff but other than smelling nice I never really noticed any benefits. Some people swear by it though.
