Woodworkers - pluge router suggestions? (XMAS)

Very good points. Admittedly, I don't use mine all that often any more. Trying to get my shop back up and running after using it for another business and need to update some of my old equipment.

Woodworkers - pluge router suggestions? (XMAS)

I have an older DeWalt plunge router in my table, not sure model, planning to replace both soon. I also have a classic Porter Cable 690 fixed base (US made back then) that I use for non plunge use. For my next few router purchases I think I'm going to take a hard look at Makita's offerings...

Red Wing Shoes - made in china!

I know this is an older thread, but with all of the recent posts I think I'll add my 1/2 cent. The Katahdin Iron Works boots from L.L. Bean are rebranded Chippewa (even ship in a Chippewa box) and are labeled as USA made. I've always had a set when I wanted boots without some sort of safety...

I don't know if they do, but you can get them through Wera among others.

    Hilti made in China

With more of their production heading to Asia, I think one of the few things that would push me toward Hilti is their lease program. Otherwise, on tools like that, I'll purchase Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Metabo...

Suggestions for "heirloom" sockets and wrenches, with 200 budget

I am in the unfortunate position of watching my father's health steadily decline. It is because of him that I enjoy working with my hands, and between us, we have an extensive collection of tools and machines. We've talked about what to do in the event of his passing, and he made it clear that...

Need a long Torx T25 with quick connect shank

I've been using this: https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/0239007 Don't know if it's impact rated, a smaller one lives in one of my drills and I swap for the two larger sizes when a job requires it.

Wait, People still use Fold-Up Keys?

I use the Bondhus ones all the time. I get frustrated with the holders for the L keys, and they usually have a bunch of sizes I don't need. I keep them in the drawer for when they're the only option. By far I prefer the T handle keys.

    Husky 100 tooth ratchets

Honestly, I like these ratchets. If they were available in a flavor that I don't have covered in my tool box I would probably buy one or more. I will wait and see, but if there's a good enough deal, I will add them to my portable box.

Looking for a good circular saw around $100

For corded I love the Makita 5007. I've had a couple and will likely always own one. I have a corded DeWalt that I like too. Buy a decent one and put a good blade on it. I've had good luck with the Diablo blades but sometimes get pretty good life and results out of the cheaper ones. Cordless...

Could not even remove lug nuts?!? (Milwaukee Fuel 3/8" M18 )

Jacobson, do you have access to an accurate torque wrench, preferably 1/2" drive? If so, you could put a nut in a vise and torque a bolt to a specific value (within the abilities of your impact) and see if it can remove it. Similar tests can be found in the Real Tool Reviews videos. Maybe your...

What is up with Milwaukee M18TM Fuel

A lot of places don't bother with using a superscript or they copy and paste a description and the superscript doesn't transfer.

    Toolbox Liners good ones?

I really like the Eppco liner I bought off Amazon. Ryan did a write up on it for his Lista cabinets. I bought the 24' roll to line my Husky stack.
