    who hangs spanners?

6mm to 25mm / 1/4 to 1” live in Ernst organizers in the box. 26mm to 50 & 1-1/16” to 2” big guys used less often hang on the columns by door to the house. I used bike hooks I straightened out with vise/torch so they’re nice sized studs/lags and can hold a lot of weight. They also double as...

How to make perfect cheater pipes

I’ve been eyeing that one up from Lee valley. I got a set of extra long zero offsets that pretty much cover this need now for box end (I realize not everyone wants or needs to buy a new tool for every application though!). I couldn’t bring myself to double up one of my FD+ wrenches so I keep my...

How to make perfect cheater pipes

I know how you feel about Snap on, but this ratchet is the cats meow. I managed to find a gently used one for 50% of MSRP, put a rebuild kit into it for cheap insurance...

    Outlet for a welder

Agreed. With such a short run, no sense trying to save a few $. Go # 6 and you’re future proofed if you get a larger machine that ***** more juice.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Snap on Friday. I just had to get my hands on the new LN47ACF. They are everything I dreamed of and more ha ha. And a couple FD+ to replace spots of “lesser wrenches”. They all gotta match right? :)

Air Quick Coupler - Type G made easy

In an industrial environment with higher pressure compressor (twin screw / dual stage etc) I'm sure you can overcome it by cranking up the PSI in your system (175 required to offset 90 psi drop to get 85 pounds at gun worst case as per test rig in Stedlins post). For straight cost and simplicity...

Air Quick Coupler - Type G made easy

I think the best post to illustrate this need/finding is here: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/air-couplers-high-flow-low-flow-vs-low-flow-low-flow.468630/ Some of the standard M couplers are so restricting that they choke off the flow to the tool. Standard home setup with say max...

    Need a new oil can

I’ve got 2 of the Goldenrod oiler flexible spout. 1 with cutting oil/magic tap and the other with way oil for the lathe. No issues. The cheapie ones can be a leaky nightmare. Good choice

Thats tempting @JradM ! .... I think I have he same jolly junker set from PA you reference (yellow fiberglass handles?). Reviews of this GW set are fantastic. I'm not planning to be a full time autobody tech so the pro level tools are out, but for under $170 this looks like a solid deal

What do you guys use to (shrink) shrink tubing ?

Cigarette lighter here as well. Was super handy when I used to smoke. Always had a heater for shrink tube in my pocket :). When I quit I kept my stash of lighters in a shoebox and keep a couple handy in my toolbox for shrink wrap.

Air Quick Coupler - Type G made easy

Oh wow… so I’m not gaining anything by having this behemoth vs a standard high flow or running a Stedlin coupler. How does the pressure drop/flow loss look with your swivel adapter? Sending a PM now with shopping list of that Im thinking of going with

Air Quick Coupler - Type G made easy

Thanks for following up on this @Stedlin . The wear and leaking is what I was worried about. Not in a production environment, but I am out there a lot! For the whiplike and swivel, I am wondering if you have any kind of distribution in/to Canada at this time? I see Amazon, but the packages...
