Yes, you are the boss but also bear the responsibility
that entails.
This means you live, eat, sleep and breathe the business
so long gone are the 9-to-5 bye see ya tomorrow days.
Also be prepared for some lean times until you get
established.
That is a bit odd. A loop similar to that is usually done with sinks
against a half-wall or island sinks.
But why does it loop back onto itself?

My off-grid cabin had no electricity.
-propane was used for cooking.
-ice chests served as fridges.
-lights were kerosene lanterns.
-no television but did have battery operated radio.
-toast could be made on the propane stove
I did have running water. That happened when I ran up to the
cottage...
It depends entirely on how the house is insulated and if
there are any areas where the water pipes may freeze.
I assume the thermostat is centrally located, so the areas
near the walls will be cooler than near the center of the house.
Get an indoor thermometer and check the temperature in...
I have been considering what to do with the garage floor
for at least a year now... all I can say is do not be in a rush
and proceed with the other areas of your garage while still
considering the floor.
When I lived in Ottawa and was biking it to work one fine
morning I surprised a skunk on the trail who managed to
hit me with the spray.
I stopped to survey the damage. Seemed to me that my
gloves and backpack took most of the spray and so
continued on my way to work.
It was not long that...
Just get one of these...

...then get the city, HOA and whatever permits to have
it installed and you are golden.
That is what we have here.
Mr. Wonderful will say:
"What is unique about this? What is stopping someone
down the street from knocking off something similar, perhaps
better with a slightly different design?"
The others may say:
"Limited market to only those owning pickup trucks. Will do
fantastic in Texas but what about...
I am in San Antonio and have no trouble keeping my
house at 68 - 69 on the hottest of days.
That metal heats up and stays warm... what color is
it on the outside?
Garage doors are notoriously leaky.
I think the insulation is insufficient.
Take the cardboard up into Gatineau park one fine evening,
start a fire in a fire pit and have a weenie / marshmallow roast.
Why let good cardboard go to waste? :)
Before Texas, I lived in Ottawa for 10 years... congrats on the
new place & garage!
I just dealt with a similar deal...
First the guy says his health is bad and is in bad financial
shape... then next he says he will send a lawyer after me
if I do not provide a refund.
I tell him to pound sand.
Lots of open dumpsters in the Ottawa area.
Cut the cardboard up into manageable pieces that
will fit in your car and make a dumpster run.
Perhaps to that Canadian Tire near you.
I am not a huge fan of wire nuts given the mechanical connection
is not always the best.
I prefer the old style of "wire nuts" that had a set screw like those
at the link below:

You place the wires to be connected...
Re: New home&garage build in Ottawa / 43x26 First time sharing / several projects in
Nice house!
I lived in Ottawa for about 10 years.
Moved down to Texas and built a house here.
Traded the snow for heat!
Good luck with your build!!!
New house... anytime I do food prep in the kitchen if
I don't cleanup immediately I have ants.
I also have ants in the master bath but have no clue
what the food source is in there.
Put out some Terro bait stations... they start a bucket
brigade to the station which goes for a coupla days...
