They don't want to create what is called the "balloon effect" when during a storm the windows blowout which will cause the garage to pressurize with air and potentially explode.

What did you do "TO" your garage today?

Not today, but over the weekend... added 5 bags of Roxul ComfortBatt in the walls to round out the insulation before they completed the drywalling... and in the process discovered how out of shape I have become. :shocking::)

Is small stuff hard to see on dark RaceDeck colors

The best way to find small items on any color of floor is to take a trouble-light, flash light, any light... and place it down at floor level while you scan for the item. The shadow created by the light makes the item easy to find.

What are you getting on Black Friday for your shop?

I'm certain the malls and Walmart have the Christmas music blaring now... to get shoppers "in the mood". I feel bad for those employees who get to listen to it day-in day-out until the holidays really arrive... and by that time they don't want to hear it no more! I can't stand crowds so I...

    Lowes Experience. "Hassle Free."

That is not so much a Lowe's issue but more of a merchant banking issue. Refunds can only be issued to the card where the transaction originated from... bank regulations. They could offer you a cash refund instead of store credit.

Ever have one of those "That was really stupid" revelations?

Ah yes, another one of my stupid moments... Again at the cottage, I was using the rake with stiff tines to cleanup some debris around the cottage. Threw the rake on the ground with the tines facing upwards. Went to pickup the rake and stepped on the tines... instead of my boot going through...

    Christmas lights on tall trees

Careful with installing lights at high elevations... I have a friend who was installing lights on the eaves of his 2-story house that fell. He ending up breaking his back and went through a long recovery. Is it really worth the risk for perhaps a 2-week season of the year? If you have the...

Sure... Like many years ago me giving the blocks in the wood stove at the cottage a good dousing of Coleman fluid... then shutting the door to let it soak in before approaching with a match. Sure, the fire started... but not after an explosion and me knocked against the back wall...
