    Show your new tool arrivals

Nope, and that is part of the reason why I bought them. The serial number is laser etched in the shaft and makes the driver feel that much more carefully crafted. The barcode is probably just for quicker inventory scanning... but it's **** ugly. I may try removing them as others have suggested.

    Show your new tool arrivals

So I decided to bite the PB Swiss bullet and grab some of their drivers. First impressions are very good. Can hardly wait to put them to use! My one complaint is why on earth would they mold a big ol' ugly bar-code right in the middle of the drivers' beautiful handles?

Torque Test Channel - open-end wrench testing

I second this! I wish that all tool testing channels would do this to ensure that the tools are getting a truly fair comparison to one another and that a loose/poorly manufactured fastener is not interfering with results.

first box suggestions sub 2500 price

My vote goes to Tekton, but US general is not a bad choice either. Tekton will have some distinct advantages though: - Better drawer latches. You can lift anywhere on the drawer to unlatch it. - Less drawer side-to-side play. - 400 lb weight capacity per drawer (not sure what the USGs is but I...

    Socket trays for toolbox

I have the same Hansen rails as pictured in the link you listed. Hands down the best way to organize sockets IMO. HF has a set you can get for pretty cheap if you're on a budget.

Tekton Rousseau Tool Chest Overview & Thoughts

That is indeed, sad! I'm sure you could still get one from Rousseau if you really wanted one and had the coin.

    Metric Crowfoot Set

I have the tekton set in SAE. Use them almost daily. Very good set and as far as I can tell work just as well as the snap ons I used to own.

    Recommendations on Stud Extractors/Removal Tools?

In my experience, ATC, the drill chuck one will actually chew up the threads more (to the point where they are no longer usable). However, you are correct that the socket type does mash the threads a little. When I was in A&P school, one of my instructors had a Mac tools version of the ABN...

    Recommendations on Stud Extractors/Removal Tools?

Cool! Let us know how they work for you. I am going to be ordering a set for myself as well. They are not a tool truck brand but most reviews seem positive on them. They seem like a good budget friendly option.

Tekton Rousseau Tool Chest Overview & Thoughts

Thank you! Your review was extremely helpful when I was doing research. The Tool Grid system is, in my opinion, is one of the best tool organization and control systems available. Initial investment is high, but, unlike foam, can be rearranged at anytime without having to redo an entire drawer...

Tekton Rousseau Tool Chest Overview & Thoughts

Intro: Hello All! I thought I would record my experiences here instead of creating another thread since it all pertains to the same thing. I purchased my Tekton/Rousseau toolbox on Black Friday in 2021 and thought I would give you my thoughts on it thus far. This is a long review, but I hope the...

    warranty advice - craftsman

I honestly wouldnt have wasted my breath with Crapsman customer service. Although, I am very bitter from a sour personal experience. I truly hope they help you out and you get an equivalent replacement, but I wouldnt be surprised if they just gave you the finger and told you to take a hike. I...

Just got an Astro ADN38 RivNut tool, is there a quality difference in RivNuts / NutCerts?

To answer your question in the title, a NutSert is a brand of riv nut. If youre looking for quality riv nuts, look at any aircraft parts website. Aircraft Spruce, Skygeek, etc. Anything with an NAS part number should be of high quality.

I question if it is really necessary to return clicker torque wrenches to there lowest value

Google, "torque wrench calibration service" and youll come up with several dozen companies that will do it for you. Most of them you have to send the tool in, but there are a few mobile ones.

I question if it is really necessary to return clicker torque wrenches to there lowest value

Our DOMO has several beam type T/Ws he has used going all the way back to the 90s I think. He swears by them. Every year they get calibrated they are always right on the money. He has click style as well for tighter spots but loves the beam type anytime the fastener is out in the open.

I guess Wiha has given up pretending to be premium tools?

I really dont see how this is indicative of Wiha not being a premium tool brand. Even almighty Snap-On sells stuff made in China. SO can do that but Wiha can't have stuff made in Vietnam? As long as the QC is good, and the company continues to stand behind their product, whats the big deal? A...
