    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

Quantum 65 Lumen flashlight. #63936. Really liked this little light, and seemed pretty rugged. Just stopped working after about a week. The free ones last better...

    Craftsman C3 Batteries

My Impact was pretty gutless with Nicad batteries. Switched to L-Ion and the difference was amazing. All my C-3 stuff works better with them, but difference was biggest with the impact.

    Craftsman C3 Batteries

I would agree. Wasn't impressed at all with the Ni-Cad batteries or their performance. L-ion was a major improvement.

Been wondering about this also, since it appears the C3 stuff has hit the end of the line.

    M12 Wish List

All I've got in the M12 platform is the ratchet (old style) and the HackZall. I do want that polisher though...looks handy.

Running antigreeze through gas power washer

I fill mine with anifreeze by pumping it in with a drill powered pump. My Hotsy doesn't seem to want to **** it up, so this works well.

    Makita XL02Z 18v 3/8 Angle Impact

Was pleasantly surprised. Buzzed some 10mm bolts right off, and back. I did snug them up by hand, but tgey didn't take much.

    Makita XL02Z 18v 3/8 Angle Impact

AC clutch bearing went out on my car today. Going to give it a try later on.

    Makita XL02Z 18v 3/8 Angle Impact

Anybody have one of these? Snagged one with 3 batteries and charger off a Facebook ad for $60 tonight. Already have 18v drill in this platform so figured it wasn't too bad of deal. Seems powerful enough, but a bit big. Not sure how handy it'll be, but hadn't bought a new tool all week...

    Roto head ratchets???

The older SK Tuff-1 roto ratchet has been my mainstay for 20 years. I'd never be without one. Will it fit everywhere? No, but it's so handy everywhere else that I don't mind at all.

The Perfect Day and a Snap On Yardsale!

Nice finds! You did well! I totally get the part about losing a kid to the world of video games. The sensory processing makes it very tough for me to find much common ground with our oldest. Dealing with the loud noises has gotten a lot better though. Biggest challenge is coordination. He's...

    Flush(est) Mount Ceiling Fan

Got an area in my shop where I do a lot of small projects / bench work type stuff. Gets terribly stuffy in the summer, and I'd like to add a ceiling fan. Ceiling is 8', and I'm 6'7", so there is a bit of a clearance issue! Anybody know of a fan with an extra low profile?

The Perfect Day and a Snap On Yardsale!

Great day and some great buys! My oldest son is 9, and also has sensory issues. I know where you're coming from. Loud noises are a major challenge for him also.

    Click Mfg Pliers Fairbury NE

Lugnutz, Yes, you are right. The pin locks the fulcrum for the lever to cam against. Heelspur, Does yours work with this missing? Mine appears to be complete. Silverdeck, Glad to see someone local also!

    Click Mfg Pliers Fairbury NE

Bought these last night at an auction. Made about 40 miles west of me, in Fairbury NE. About all I can find is that they closed due to labor and material shortages during WW2, and never reopened. In 20 years, I've only seen 2-3 of these.

Most ridiculous tool you've come across?

I have this adapter chuck to convert a 1/2" impact to a drill. Worst part is that it's either Snap On or Mac. Never used it and doubt I ever will.

    Looking for hydraulic troubleshooting help.

I'd look for a tow valve that may be partially open. Jack it up and see if wheels turn freely by hand. Should be some resistance. If you stall it against something, or chock the wheels and try to drive, do wheel motors or pump get hot? Heat indicates internal leakage. Bad part is, if one of...
