Need help understanding brushed DC motor torque loss.

Thanks for the information. So in the case of the motor I'm dealing with, one possible culprit would be the springs holding the brushes against the commutator? I did notice that they weren't exactly pressed up tightly.

Largest wrenches needed in Automotive/Light Trucks?

I doubt you'll need anything larger than what you have. I wouldn't buy anything bigger unless you come across a need for it.

Need help understanding brushed DC motor torque loss.

I pulled a window motor out of a minivan about a month ago because under a load it wouldn't spin (it basically wouldn't move the window up and down) but would spin fine unloaded. I replaced it and the new one worked fine, and I sent the vehicle out the door. But I kept the motor so I could...

Who makes the AT200D for Blue Point?

Thanks. I got it in a few days ago and it seems like a great tool so far.

Who makes the AT200D for Blue Point?

The AT200D is the only one I know is for sure made in Japan, that's the one I'm curious about.

Who makes the AT200D for Blue Point?

I picked up an older blue point 3/8" air ratchet at the flea market for $30 and it works great, so I just ordered a new AT200D to go with it. I noticed it is made in Japan, and I started to wonder who actually made the thing. Anyone know?

SK 1947 vs Williams 32945 (Taiwan)

I've got one set of 3/8" Taiwan William's sockets, labeled blue point. Not much to say, other than that I've been using them longer than any of my other sockets and they've been great. That said, I have an SK set, a Williams USA set, and multiple Proto sets and they're all good.

Sk x frame wrench finish flaws!

Even if the wrench got sent back (I wouldn't bother, I've gotten similar "flawed" wrenches new from Snap On and Wright), I would be amazed if they agreed to a deal like that. For good reason, their policy seems to be that you ship a tool to them first, and then they ship a replacement to you...

    Proto "premium" ratchets

I got the long version of each. I will take a picture tomorrow to compare its size to some other common ratchets. I would love for Proto to make a flex version of these.

    Proto "premium" ratchets

Oldish thread, I know. But I want to add my two cents. I just bought two of these ratchets, the 3/8" and the 1/2" XL versions. I have purposely grabbed these for everything since I got them in, just to test them out, and even though it's only been about 3 work days of use, I have to say I...

No pics, but I've bought a few things in the last couple of days. Gearwrench microdriver (p/n 85035). Seems like a nice tool. I did work in a little bit of super lube and then "break" it in with a cordless drill, because it seemed a little stiff when I first opened it up. Now it's very...

    I think I have a ratchet problem

That red (orange?) handles Proto ratchet with the rotating head on it... is that ratchet any good? I ask because I found one, but idk if it's something I want to buy or not. Or how much I'd be willing to pay for it. But if it's a good quality ratchet, I might as well add it to the lot.

    I think I have a ratchet problem

I guess it would be ratchets for me too. Idk how many I have at work, but I'm 99% I have more than the other guys (because they don't have a problem. lol) and I'm about to buy two more.

Got some new wrenches. Selling my Snap On wrenches now that I got these Wright wrenches in. Also I bought an SAE set of the Dewalt wrenches. Saw them in Sears the other day but they were a little higher than I wanted to spend on an SAE set of wrenches that I'll barely use ($69 I think?). But...

    Ordered Sunex Tools 8054 cart

I have the 8057. Very similar (I know for a fact that the drawer slides are the same part number). It's one of the nicest non-USA tool storage units I've ever seen. You made a good choice.

    Koken ease of warranty?

I agree. I was very happy about it. I think Koken is going to get plenty more business from me.

    Koken ease of warranty?

Great news on the Koken warranty. The warranty service was awesome, really fast imo, and even came back with, not only a brand new socket, but a fairly personalized letter and some other extras (a Koken pen, a Koken 2016 planner, and a Koken notepad). Pictures for proof.

    What are these Craftsman wrenches?

They look like some variant of what I always call a "ratcheting" open ended wrench. A different design than I'm used to seeing. I've never seen one exactly like that before, but I imagine the idea behind it is the same. You can use the wrench to loosen to tighten a fastener more quickly by...
