    First welder suggestions

Why the in hell anybody would use flux core wire and stick welding expect for heavy industrial work is beyond me. It is messy and looks **** normally. Welding with gas is like having power brakes on your car it just makes life a heck of a lot easier and simpler.

    First welder suggestions

It will be my first personal welder but I'm not new to welding. I don't weld for live but know how to weld. I have 220 at home to hook up the machine. I don't really care a for a stick welder at all. They have there place but I have no use for one. I'm wanting to do stainless, alummiun and mostly...

    First welder suggestions

So I looking at getting a welder for the garage/house. Wonder what would be my best bet I'm leaning towards a tig but I know everything has to clean clean to weld but I like the localized heat and ability to do precision work. That leads me to think mig all though louder dirtier. It is overall...

At the moment it is holding I marked the shaft ran it twice and changed the oil seems good to go but time will tell. There is no room for shim stock I had to spread the flywheel with wedge to get it off.

t30 ingersoll rand flywheel walking off.

I don't know that a roll pin would be strong enough to retain it all maybe though. I thinking I would try a set screw first. But then comes an issue with the fan blades on the flywheel to cool the compressor getting in the way of drill so I hope this works or I don't know what the heck to do next.

t30 ingersoll rand flywheel walking off.

The woodruff key is installed. Debris in the gap is a really good question. I want to say no but will check tomorrow. Belt alignment is possible but the first time it happened the belt alignment was dead nuts and it still. Walked looks like I'm down to checking the gap and cleaning up with...

t30 ingersoll rand flywheel walking off.

So I bought a t30 Ingersoll rand 242 converted to a single phase motor. The flywheel is now walking off shaft of the compressor. So I tightened the pinch bolt with the magic double wrench method and it still walks slowly put each time it runs it slowly coming off the shaft. So what give I've had...
