    Roller blade wheels on stuff

Hmm.. thinking... they used to make off-pavement roller blades with 6" (or larger) wheels. Those would be handy for casters that need to roll over rough stuff. Big wheel, little bump. Just took a look around the interweb. Looks like 200mm--~4 inch--is the largest. Still pretty useful.

    Roller blade wheels on stuff

Overhead rollers on a barn-style sliding door made by a local artist. I think those are actually roller skate wheels, but same idea. Lower guides use two more.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Another fifteen-minute job this morning. Only took two hours! I had to hang another air curtain over another door. Once again, I had to hang some extra, structural, trim above the door trim and so began another game of "find the stud". Of course, there's a stud either side of the door...

Not a bad solution for farm work. There should always be a kid to help out.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

For water inside insulated walls, get a handful of aquarium air pumps--cheap--and some aquarium air tubing. Drill 1/4" holes in the drywall near the base, one per stud bay. Stick the tubing in the hole, attach to a pump and plug 'em in. The insulation will take about a week to dry, depending on...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Driving in Big Bend NP, TX in the summer, we'd recline under the truck and have a beer. Only shade for miles.

Which toyota adapter for this brake bleeder?

Yeah, I don't understand why vacuum bleeding would be easier. The pressure bleeder takes about a minute to set up, then just go from bleeder to bleeder--starting with the furthest from the master cylinder--bleed 'til clean and bubble-free and you're done. I've never seen nor used anything...

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

I have you beat: Mine were free--kind of. A former employer and friend left them to me. When he started ailing, he asked all his friends to make lists of which of his tools they wanted--he had no one else to leave them to--itemized by personal value. I think the Greenlee punches were #3 on my...

Which toyota adapter for this brake bleeder?

I bought the same bleeder, but in the version that is supposed to come with the Toyota/Lexus adapter. It was the same as yours. I bought a kit that had caps that fit my Vanagon and '93 Corolla. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09P51LNQ4?tag=atomicindus08-20 Of course, the adapter kit cost more...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

That's what they want you to think.... I grew up in the Willamette Valley, where we were informed that there were no buzzworms west of the Cascade range. Imagine my dismay when I took my first herpetology class and we went out to document rattlesnake dens just south of Oregon City. There are...

^I'd take some vinegar or phos acid to those new pads to make them more closely match the patina of the old clamps.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Did some plumbing. I'll never call plumbing a "fifteen-minute-job". First I had to move a few things: That took pretty much all morning. Only broke one dish! Got 'er done: and done well. All the fittings are new; all the pipe is salvage. The standpipe w/tubes leading in (second...
