Sadly, they are now listed as out of stock. Tool Discounter has the Kastar branded set for $47.99 though.

China Freight takes over another US city

I'm not going to drag this thread into some kind of big debate on national debt (which I think everyone can agree is way too high) so this will be the last I say on it in this thread. Mainland China owned 7.2% of US debt as of the end of August 2014, the latest figure I could find in a 30 second...

China Freight takes over another US city

Not even close to reality. They own less than 10% of US debt.

    Glorified Nut Setters

I guess I didn't realize that there were that many sockets out there that aren't full length broached. I think all of mine are (Craftsman, Snap-On, and a smattering of HF impact sockets).

    Ridigd Power Tools

I have a friend who just bought a Ridgid sidewinder circular saw. We used it a little last night. Time will tell how good it is, but I like it better than my Skilsaw that I bought in a pinch.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I keep meaning to actually look at them the next time I'm in HD, but I always forget, and it's too far away to just pop in there for that. They look really nice in the pics I've seen.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I gave $347 for mine, saved the difference in price, the taxes and the 80 mile round trip to Home Depot, so I guess the wait is worth it....

    New to me Wilton vise

Good! That's all I need it to do. I thought I surely couldn't go wrong spending $20 on a US made vise. It is in great shape aside from paint and I will rectify that very shortly, I already have it torn down on the bench awaiting cleaning and paint.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I could have went to Home Depot and had it in hand but I saved close to $100 by buying through Amazon. The wait ***** though!

    Best 1/4" hex impact bits?

I haven't. I ordered my Fuel kit last night too. I guess I could act swiftly and cancel, lol. What makes you prefer the Makita?

After much weighing of different brands, I have pulled the trigger on this: It should be here in the next few days. Do we chant or sing hymns now?[emoji1]

    New to me Wilton vise

$20. Is this model inherently bad?

    New to me Wilton vise

Upon further inspection, you are correct, it is a 5 inch model. The old paint made it look like a 6.

    New to me Wilton vise

Picked this up at an auction the other day, and was just wondering if any of you vise guys could give me any additional info on it. It has 6 inch jaws and 4 1/4 inches all the way open. To my eye it doesn't look ancient, but seems to be pretty well made.
