    Craftsman Compact Reciprocating Saw (#17175)

Sears used to sell one that looked like this, but it was corded. Great lightweight compact saw. I've used mine for years and it's my go-to saw for quick cuts. I haven't seen it around for quite a while though. I doubt anything powered for 30 bucks is going to be worth the money from...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lbs-capacity-hydraulic-table-cart-69148.html 1000# lift table, pass. Some reviewers say they had trouble bleeding theirs, or it had no oil, but mine was ready to roll right out of the box. I've been using it for a year now and it's probably one of the most...

    Stacking Craftsman Middle Tool Boxes

I added the side cabinet to my 44" HF box and it's the same quality as the main box. It still moves around the same too, just heavier. No issues there. I added a fold down side table to the other end, so it provides plenty of work surface. I even mounted a small vise on top of the side...

What king of tool is this?

Can't see the jaws too good but they look like hog ring pliers.

Tools that changed everything for you

My first air tool was a cut off wheel and that changed everything. Air tools were a game changer. I remember what it was like struggling as a teen back in the early 80s doing exhaust work in the driveway with a hacksaw. Anyone whose been there can relate. Exhaust systems used to last a...

Richard (Canadian Made) Pry Bars at Ollie's Bargain Outlet

I got a chance to use mine a few times now. I like them very much. Just the right amount of grippy feeling to the handles, and very strong. Well worth the money.

Husky Air Compressor Warranty: refused the 2 years as stated due to commercial use.

What exactly is wrong with it? Chances are it can be fixed. Do a little investigating and go from there.

    Melted work light wire

It won't hurt to go up in size as long as it fits through the strain relief. You can cut the cord back to the point before it melted and just put a new plug end on it and use it with an extension cord as well.

Richard (Canadian Made) Pry Bars at Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Was just up in the Ollie's near Pottsville PA the other day, and they had pretty many pry bars yet. I got a couple more straight ones. They had Husky hex key sets, Snap blade knives, and multi-bit drivers too, but that's the last thing I need more of.

    Value of Vise

HF sells one like that still, but it's a POS compared to the older one shown in the pic. I paid $69 for mine back around 2003, and have abuse the snot out of it and it held together. That said, I wouldn't pay more that $40 for it used.

Craftsman 20 PC Stubby Wrench set- has arrived

I am missing a few sizes of the Craftsman stubby sets I have and was going to buy them separately, but this set is cheaper. I'd have a bunch of duplicates though. I keep going back and forth. I'm not sure if I'm even going to bother for four or five wrenches. I am interested in seeing how...

    found a jar of mercury?

I played with it when I was young back in the 70's, and can't say it suffered from any detrimental consequences because of it. Now the pot smoking in the 70s on the other hand, well, the jury is out on that...

Best way to label your tools

A band of colored heat shrink works better than tape, stays on better, and will come off if needed. I agree that if you work with a thief, nothing will work 100%.

    Tekton wrenches

I bought the metric and standard angle wrench sets from amazon last summer. First time I used one of them, I cut my hand pretty deep while taking the wrench out of the roll. There was some chrome plating that was peeling up on a corner, and it was razor sharp. They work, and they are cheap...

    Dissapointing shipping from Sears.

I ordered from them for the first time just this year. It was also the last time I'll ever make that mistake. The only thing worse than their shipping is their customer service.
