I understand the logic of that. When the 1/2" breaker bar snapped it had just budged the last lug nut, and I did put some PB on after the first bar broke.

I'll keep an eye out for the 'doesn't fail when you're standing on it' kind. :) That Cornwell kinda looks like the T+Bar in a way.

I shot some PB on it and did something else for a bit. It helped some but the breaker bars weren't up to the over-tightening from the tire shop.

Unbranded and old (at least 30 y/o), 96 Ford Ranger. The lugs were done by a local tire shop and they always finish off with a torque wrench, but I don't know the setting of if the wrench gets calibrated. And it was 3 of the 5 lugs that I couldn't budge with the crossbar.

I broke 2 a couple weekends ago removing over tightened lug nuts. The 3/8 was possibly a bit small for the job but the 1/2 should have been ok. I did use a cheater bar with both. Both of the broken bars had pins for pivots but it looks like they began to bend where the pin was attached on either...
