    Craftsman Arc Welder Info

I need to get a welder so I can teach myself to weld. There is a Craftsman Arc welder available for $100, model 113.201260 (I believer 113 is an Emerson product), 40 to 230 amp range. It is complete and works. Is this a good welder for someone new to welding? Thank you for your input

    Overseas Jack Rebuild Help Tutorial.

Here is where I went: https://www.hydraulicpartssupply.com/ But I found the one in Sawyer. Would they know which seals etc to sent if I just describe the jack? The model number is gone.

    Overseas Jack Rebuild Help Tutorial.

A question about getting o-ring/Seal Kits. I went to Hydraulic Parts Supply's website and the online ordering, which directed me to eBay, has nothing there. Do they only do phone orders? Also, is there a way to determine which HF jack I have when the part number is gone?

Harbor Freight Joins the 21st Century!

My guess regarding no way to check local store inventory at HF or Home Depot (their inventory is usually wrong or says it is "low") is - it my get you into the store. Once you are there a customer may buy more than just the 1 online item.

Does anybody do wrenching without gloves & why?

I can't stand nitrile gloves my hands get too sweaty to work. My gloves usage depends on the car I'm working on (it's cleanness) and whether I'll need to use my fingers much. In a wrecking yard I usually wear Mechanic's brand type gloves.

    Heating BTU Info?

Agreed a lot of conflicting info. Thanks for the link I've seen references to the manual J calc but not the calc itself. Since this will be a diy install contractors probably wouldn't be interested. Thank you

    Question about flood zones

What is the definition of a "Special Flood Hazard Area, Zone A"? Last time I looked, years ago, here in AZ the flood zones were defined as: 50 year, 100 year. Meaning the area / property was likely to flood once on those time frames.
