Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

All of our air hoses are plumbed to the compressor with 3/8 hoses and 1/4 quick disconnects. We have two compressors powering the whole shop and plumbing at each bay.

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

So would having a 1/2 hose going to the compressor with a 1/4 quick disconnect be starving the tool if I still have a 1/2 quick disconnect at the tool

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

Okay so we plug all of our 3/8 air hoses into 1/4 quick disconnects in the wall. They look just like what you hook into your gun, but their attached to the lines on the compressor. My thinking is that using a 1/2 hose with a 1/4 quick disconnect going to the wall, then a 1/2 quick disconnect at...

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

If anyone is wondering I sadly paid way too much money and bought a snap on mg1250, so this is the 3/4 I’m referring to.

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

Long story short, I made the switch from heavy diesel and going back to automotive work, and I don’t want my 3/4 impact to be useless, we still do have some really stuck bolts. My 3/4 impact states it needs a 1/2 hose, my idea was to just buy a 1/2 hose and be done with it. The issue I’m...

Does a low battery effect power on cordless tools?

Thank you guys. I was sure I wasn’t crazy when I thought of this. I was told with no-cad it was noticeable though.

Does a low battery effect power on cordless tools?

For example let’s say the battery on my m18 impact is at 50%, will it have less torque than if it was at 100%? I’m only asking because I’m not sure if I’ve ever really noticed a difference on a full, vs depleted battery. Seems to work the same until it dies for me. I guess just in case, the...

    Matco BOGO

I use these all the time. Best sockets ever, seriously, sometimes they grip too well tho and they’re hard to get off bolts sometimes. But they rock, impact rated too

Impacting a bolt off with a ratchet on the other side

I don’t know why but I guess I’ve just been blowing up my ratchets lately. Maybe it’s becosue I work on semi trucks now instead of cars and the bolts are tighter

Impacting a bolt off with a ratchet on the other side

So for a few years I’ve used a ratchet and a socket to keep a nut from turning while I use my impact wrench to get it off. Never failed me, I have good Snap on ratchets and usually they never fail. Lately they’ve broken literally every time I’ve tried. I had a particularly stuck nut and it was...

    Gearwrench vs Sunex impact sockets

Another Impact driver vs impact wrench question

If you’re not driving screws all day, I’d go with an impact wrench. Especially for auto work

    Toolbox Choices

Let me give you some advice, ii first started I bought a Snap on tool box. The worst investment I️ ever made and I’m in debt from it still. It literally sits there most of the time, as I’m usually in and out of my tool cart all day and not my box. I had a harbor freight one that worked just fine...

Caps for air tool quick connect fittings

Honestly thought this was going to be a thread worrying about a little dirt getting in. I can’t imagine realizing I have wasps in my air tools. I hate them.

    Question for experienced Techs

I absolutely would never buy my Snap on box. My snap on cart, worth every penny. It rolls around all day and is opened and closed hundreds of times. The box sits there for the tools I don’t use often, and I’d be fine with a cheap one.

Any new 3/8 M12 FUEL Ratchet owners??

I have one and I’m not overly impressed with it honestly. It doesn’t seem to have much power. For cordless ratchets, I really think 1/4 is the only one for me. I have a Snap on cordless and at 35 ft lbs and 350 rpm, trumps the Milwaukee 1/4. My Milwaukee fuel 3/8 doesn’t have enough power to...
