    My First Milwaukee Fuel issue

I’ve had quite a few problems with my gen one fuel 1/2 impact. It’s not even that old, but apparently having problems with Milwaukee is not the norm

First impact socket set (for DIY) - regular or deep?

If you’re not using them daily a basic 1/2 drive swivel and short 1/2 impact sockets will be fine. My first set was deeps. I use shallow All the time tho, but always use deeps first

Co-worker gets Matco's new "Hyper-Step" drill bits: "These drill though everything"

Re: Co-worker gets Matco's new "Hyper-Step" drill bits: "These drill though everythin I have snap on drillbits and they are utter pieces of ****. I now own Irwin and use the snap on set as a loaner kit. They dull so quickly or just break immediately

Dumbest thing you've ever done in your garage...

I to this day haven’t lived this one down. But when I was a new tech I had two rotors that were just horrendously seized to the hub. So I hammered them from the back, bent an ear off one knuckle without realizing it. Then went to the other side, missed again and knocked an ear off the other...

Recommend me a torx screwdriver set please.

I guess some German cars have a lot of torx, but usually bolts I can’t get out with a screwdriver other then air filter bolts. I was just curious. I bet they have their used, I just usually throw bits on an impact and go. But maybe somewhere you need to be careful these would be great. I just...

Recommend me a torx screwdriver set please.

As an auto tech, I’ve never seen anyone that has these, and as for me I can’t see how they would be more useful compared to a torx bit on a ratchet. Someone edjucate me on what makes these so useful?

1/4" or 3/8" Milwaukee M12 Fuel Cordless Ratchet?

Personally I have the 3/8 fuel and I think it’s highly overrated. Not enough power for a 3/8 ratchet I’d get the 1/4

    Looking for stop-less impact socket

Why does it matter, it’s not like it won’t take off the lug nut? Some of my Marco’s I warrantied out are now full broached, the 19 I just replaced is. I don’t like it

Is Harbor Freight getting too big for its britches?

I disagree about the wrenches, I use mine daily at work with no issues. I’ve been nothing but surprised. I bought them as an upgrade from my craftsman which the open end was utterly useless. Rounded off everything. I put a cheater bar on my hf wrenches for alignments daily with no issue at all.

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

So I mean I effectively have a better set up? All the guys at work are thinking I’m just trying to get more psi and can’t fathom that it’s airflow I’m after.

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

All of our air hoses are 3/8 hoses with 1/4 quick disconnects at the toool. My 3/4 gun had a 3/8 npt thread with a 1/2 coupler. Worked great with a 1/2 hose So what I did was use a 3/8 npt thread 3/8 coupler, took a tee fitting, hooked two 1/4 air fittings into the 3/8 coupler, and used two 3/8...

Combining two 3/8 air hoses to one fitting to power 3/4 gun

I finally got this set up. Used a two 3/8 lines with a tee fitting and hooked them up to my 3/4. Not too impressed. Seems like the lines are fighting eachother

    Sawzall recommendation

Unless a tool truck air saw is vastly superior, I’m not looking to spend insane money on a sawzall, just need something that will work for most things. Will almost use it at work exclusively so air is looking to be a better option

    Sawzall recommendation

I’m an auto mechanic, and occasionally need to cut a part off (shock muffler etc) I’m debating between an air saw or cordless saw. I have milwaukee, I need something compact so m12 saw would most likely fit the description but does it have enough power? I looked at snap ons air saw and it was...
