How did you get away with such a small side yard property line setback?

Where I live you "may" be able to get a setback variance if ALL owners whose lots touch yours, on any side, approve, in writing. Even still, it's up to the approving agency.

Eegger, I see you are in Wisconsin. Is this design due to deep frostline in cold climates? Where I live I've never seen that style. Following is very common in Southwest. Zero frostline :)

Suggest you scan the receipt into a PDF. Where I live the original thermal printed receipt bleeds over time out to be unrecognizable.

I'm thinking that the noise is from the "contactors", but after having read up on what the heck those are, I won't blame/replace bad contactors until I have all new caps.

Update: Took panel off compressor unit and found RUN LOW capacitor was bulging at the end. Just bought all 3 caps on Amazon. $85 or so. RUN LOW, RUN HIGH, START. Figured may as well replace all 3 on this 13 YO unit.
