    Work bench table

I would get a store markdown on a damaged 8' slab of butcher block at Menards. When shopping for my workbench top they had 3 slabs in stock, two of them were roached on the edges from forklift damage. Got those two marked down, then plan on cutting to size anyway.

Roofing Question - Ice and Water

GAF also calls it Leak Barrier, and basically you should use it wherever the shingles get interrupted, like a sidewall, a chimney, a stove pipe, a skylight, a plumbing vent jacket/boot, etc. In this region we run two 3' courses from the gutters up the roof deck as well.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I am joining the ranks of the vise enthusiasts! Moving in to a new-to-me house and setting up my garage workbench, I could not bring myself to install a Harbor Freight vise. Looked for a few weeks and found a Wilton that seemed affordable. Now to learn about these, take it apart for cleaning...

yes. you could knock together a 2x4 frame and line it with a plastic tarp or bag and make a temporary soaking tray. do one side at a time. Better blast cabinet lighting.

I think the window was like 12" x36"...didn't seem to bother the cabinet at all. Its not a car chassis, its just a box to keep the sand from getting out. Since it was the top of the cabinet and the nozzle is usually pointing down or sideways, it never got a direct blast, just a bit of ricochet

HF Toolboxes Workbench - Phase 3

I went a bit more simple with mine. No fancy welded frame, I just unbolted the casters and made a frame of 2x4 laid on side, then put all three boxes together. Bench top is two pieces of 8’ butcher block that I still need to trim down to size Ends up at standard counter height

Skip Barber auction - some tools for sale

I wonder if it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for people with money to burn, and they went through the available candidates? May not be something people do year after year and may be tough to always be recruiting new students

    Struggling with space...

I am moving into a 2 car garage. One of my "must-haves" for the new house was a three car garage, but we compromised because of excellent location, great price, good like-new condition, and only 1 mile from the grandkids. As part of the compromise I get a 10x20 storage unit only a half mile from...
