    SBD's Update On Craftsman, DeWalt/Flexvolt

I have high hopes for SBD and the Craftsman line of hand tools. One thing that they have going for them is the experience of how well the Dewalt Made in America campaign has done for them, what most people here are missing is that most Americans are not tool snobs but do have at least a little...

    Going to go all HF

I haven't gotten anything yet as i have not been to town. I posted to get some ideas on other brands in the same price area as the HF. I really don't need a kit as I already have std covered, the metric will be rarely used since it is a emergency road kit and job site kit, not to much metric...

Looking For a Large Tap Wrench Handle, Any Nice Ones Available New?

The nice thing about a proper tap handle is that you can use a center to help keep the tap straight, I have a few spring loaded ones. Clyde I will check tomorrow and see if I have a 2nd big handle in my stash, I know I have one but you can't have it.

Cutting steel tubing with Milwaukee 6370?

Should not be an issue, I use mine to cut all kinds of stuff from 1" plate (rated at 7/8ths) to I beams, I just cut some 2x4x1/4" wall tube today, very easy to take the saw out to the metal stack and cut off what I needed vs. hauling a 18' stick in the shop.

First Garage Build - Sheathing Issues.

Yup just caulk the joint between the sill and slab, I have seen a few articles talking about sill seal deteriorating in a short time, I haven't seen it myself. But they were saying use a high quality caulk and skip the sill seal. At 40 degrees it should still cure out over time.

First Garage Build - Sheathing Issues.

I'll jump in before the tear it down and start over crowd comes in. he sheathing is there for 2 reasons, to provide structure and keep the frame from racking and a place to hang the siding from. Small gaps are okay as long as the sheathing is nailed properly, the house wrap and siding will...

Do you also have a pressure reducer like most boiler systems? if so there is little chance of the lower pressure getting back into your system.

    Raising the Rat Shack

He is setting a few beams you are setting an entire garage, by the time he is ready to set the shed down on the beams the concrete will be well set.

    Raising the Rat Shack

I would return the 12' and get 14' and cut them, scabbing on never ends well.

strap webbing slide bar or ladder buckle?

Strapping is amazingly easy to sew with a needle, I use un-waxed dental floss as thread.

    Going to go all HF

Don't need a entire kit I'll have to take a look at those. Thanks Bill but I don't need an entire kit. This adds to the thread how? This is it, the box rides in the back of my truck, no one has touched it in 30 years but the chance is always there. Don't need a kit. Nope I didn't but...

    Going to go all HF

I was going through my road box today while prepping my sons old truck to go to the scrap yard, other than a few minor repairs I have not used that box for automotive in at least 10 years and 3 trucks ago, I do use it for site work so it has a great selection of standard sockets and wrenches but...

    What is this machine?

Looks like a can crusher to me. Rotating arm moves the working mech side to side crushing something against the end plates where they fall.
