Should I use the switch I have or find one that is rated for at least 3.2HP?

I don't know...here's a pic I wired the switch inline with the bottom black and white wires. They go from the black bow with terminals directly to the motor.

I bought a 30A DPST switch to turn my air compressor on and off rather than having to turn the rotary switch on it. I was going to wire the switch inline with the power leads but instead wired it inline with the pressure switch outputs to motor inputs. Is there anything wrong with doing this...

Yeah, I mentioned that in my original post, but that's my last resort plan if the "customer" just wants something cheap. I have the stuff laying around, I guess I'll throw in the keyless entry too! So, I'll need 12V DC...can I just splice into a 12V electronics adapter?

So Colemans, CHs, Kobalts are OK solutions for a budget? I rethought my needs and determined I won't be doing much more blasting, sanding, or painting. There was an 80gal Kobalt with about 12cfm at 90psi somewhere on the net...but if the Harbor Freight US General is the same parts for $200...

Hmm, that makes sense I guess. Also, the HD site didn't have the same compressor, they have a 7hp one though. Couldn't find specs on the motor. Northern Tool has an IR compressor #1592012A (model 2340N5) 80 gallon for $1300, which is a little over my price limit. Maybe I'll get a 60gal one. So...
