Snapon man came by today, told him what I wanted to do, he didn't have anything for that ratchet on the truck, but he said he'd get me a kit and plate by next week, said it'd run less than $10 for everything.

I just tried to order one from snapon, but it says they're out of stock..

Does the rebuild kit for the compact head 3/8 ratchet come with a cover plate? I've read mixed reviews about it, I want to convert my thlf72 into 3/8" I've got a few 1/4" ratchets, and I use 3/8" more.

I was in the junkyard once, and all I had with me was my snapon t72 1/4" ratchet and the general service set, and I pulled apart the front cap and got the fenders off a 93 blazer. Never once skipped a tooth.

New Snapon red MR3828 magnetic socket holder, 28 compartments. I loaded up my sockets in it and found I didn't like it, ended up going another route. $35 shipped (paypal gifted option) with tracking #. 38.10+tax from snapon. Save a few bucks if you want one.

I'm just worried if I get a HF one and it isn't calibrated right or something, and either not getting bolts tight enough or too tight. I haven't had good luck with HF tools before.
