just FYI I got a new reverse lever for a very similar looking snap on sl710 ratchet for $0.79, if you care to fix it and sell it for more or just if any potential purchasers are interested

    Not Junk?

I got the smaller 1/4" set of short sockets and ratchet similar to that for $10, and it's a really nice little ratchet. I've had it for 6 months now, used it very regularly and it still feels great.

    Ratchet Lube

I originally put some EP all purpose grease in all of mine, seemed to work okay but even using just a dab I could hear it squishing around so I cleaned it out and used gun oil which seems to be working well

    HOT DEAL Index!!

I looked for line wrenches at sears today, they had one size on "sale" for $9.99. That pry bar set is a good deal though, I picked it up on black friday

    Craftsman Club

I picked up those $20 bars on black friday for home, so far they're working great but I haven't put a ton of stress on them compared to work

What do you guys all think of fluid film

I got a free sample bottle once, and it worked well. I stick with PB blaster for penetrating, and some things down with wd40 to prevent rust, don't really have a need for it that I would go out and buy it though. It does smell nice I will say.

Did I ever tell you I hate tool boxes that....

my friends craftsman top box will go over if you open all the drawers at once, the only thing I dislike about my toolbox is that the drawers don't click closed very positively, and they seem to always slide themselves open about an inch. I guess it's not on level ground, or I just need to add a...

    Neiko tools

I use a set of their metric combination wrenches quite often, no problems. sadly I grab them over the craftsman, snap on, sk, etc since they're the only set in the shop that's organized so I can just grab the whole set. I haven't broken any yet or rounded off any bolts so I'll keep reaching...

Do I dare try a harbor fright 3/8 air ratchet ?

that IR ratchet is very very nice, has lots of power on the other hand my $20 craftsman air ratchet (which I assume is a HF rebranded unit) works very well as a backup for what it is, no problems yet

    Harbor Freight 11-drawer chest

when I was looking for my first toolbox I looked at that one when they had it on sale for $150, and I remember thinking to myself that I wouldn't pay half of that for it. I couldn't believe how flimsy it was. I don't own it so maybe one of these other guys knows better, maybe it was just a...

    non-spendy ratchets

one of my very few snap on tools (SL 710 I believe) I got for free because it had a broken reverse lever. I got a replacement for $0.79 shipped and fixed it. I also have a 1/4" Kobalt I got with a set for $10 which is nice

    Anyone use ratcheting line wrenches?

I could definitely see where they would be great but I think 80% of the time I would still just go for a normal line wrench. It's a pain when you can't get the right angle with a 6 point but the ends of those look too bulky for a lot of areas I work in

Another "what is it worth" thread

I'm helping a friend clear out some things at the shop that never get used, I'll probably be updating this once in a while because I have no idea how to value this stuff used. This is one set he wants to get rid of, looks like it might be missing the glasses but everything else seems to be...

Need advice on a hex bit set

Thanks for all the input guys, I just ordered the Titan bits!! $20 shipped for SAE and Metric was too good to pass up, especially because I only use them occasionally

Need advice on a hex bit set

Hey guys, I'm looking for some affordable hex bits that won't round off. I was wondering if anyone offers just the actual bit part so I could just use it in a regular socket, similar to the following: http://www.toolking.com/titan-16112-13-piece-mm-hex-socket-set-with-mag-holder It's...

    good fine tooth ratchets

I started using the matco ratchets at the shop, and wanted something similar for home. I discovered the threads on here about putting matco guts into GearWrench ratchets without the quick release, so I bought one. I now own 7 of them, but haven't put matco parts in them yet because they're...

    This week's new tool

nice ratchet!! I'd like to pick up some more flex handle or roto ratchets soon I have a duralast flex handle I got for free, but in general I'm really not crazy about non locking. I use a 1/4" matco locking one regularly and I highly prefer the locking. Either way they're both WAY better...
