    The Original "Cordless" Drills

I found this today, Yankee 1530A ratcheting hand drill. Unfortunately it is missing the chuck jaws. But it works. I don't usually collect eggbeater type drills but this one caught my eye and i got it for a modest sum. Also got the two Eagle 66's.

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

Found this Crescent CS70 ratchet today. 1/2 drive. Appears to be made by Wright, has a 1962 Wright date code. Been looking for the Wright version for a while, guess I will take Crescent :dunno: Edit: Stone patent ratchet, filed by Wright Tool in 1950, granted 1955.

What Obscure Tools Do You Have?

A lot of machinist tools are obscure, relatively speaking. These took the cake. At the time they would have made my life a lot easier for a lot of measurements, mostly no more tearing down depth mics every 5 min to take a new measurement. Finally found a deal on a used set from a machinist I...

    Pierce Arrow Tools

I found this at a barn sale today for a price so low I could not resist. The jaws look great, maybe used a handful of times. There were a lot of tools there and I did not see any more Pierce-Arrow, sadly.

    Vise values near you?

I collect vises. Here in Ohio they are fairly common due to rich industrial heritage, but that being said...anything rare, any vise with "gizmos" like swivel jaws or extra axes of swivel/tilt/rotate...anything huge, anything tiny...examples in very clean shape or NOS...big names like Reed or...

    Rolling Head/Ladyfoot Pry Bars

The larger models are Japan, smaller are Taiwan. They are nice bars but once again they are chrome plated, use it a while and you will have chrome peel. Also, these bars are trim prybars...not a lady foot type bar asked by op.

    Rolling Head/Ladyfoot Pry Bars

I have an older USA made Craftsman. It works fine but the chrome started chipping the first time I used it. Never understood why a pry bar would be chrome plated, seems like a poor application :dunno: That said I would recommend anything that isn't chrome plated.

Thanks guys! Not many examples around. The G in a diamond dates the vise to ca. 1886-1912, so it's pretty old, too.

Fierljeppen - thanks for sharing that ad. Very cool! It does state the 5" heavy duty vise was used. I dont know if anyone has ever positively identified the 5" heavy duty vs. Light duty. That 4-1/2" is a beaut.
