I like it Mike! Where do you source the parts (above). Always like to know where to get stuff so that I can look for solutions to problems as they come up. Thanks!

Looking sweet, post more as you can and of course, we have to know more about how much grunt you get out of your ride when you are done! I am seeing more welding here now that a good thread is going, I also hang at welding web http://weldingweb.com/index.php where there are some killer...

That is one of the finalists for me too. Then of course we need to get a tubing notcher. Tools!

Yup, pretty much everybody is lusting after a tubing bender. <<Insert Tim Allen's tool snort here>> Have you decided which one yet? I have seen a few posts around about this one: http://www.gottrikes.com/Tube_Bender.htm The guys who have them like them (judging by their posts).

Small changes indeed. I bet those consumed the most time & are now the reason this thing rocks. Those cutouts are pretty cool, what technique did you use to cut them out?

So, I went looking for those LEDs and voila- I found your project on the Jeep Forum where you posted a nice set of photos of this project, maybe others here would like to see it: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f37/my-led-version-rinkings-lightbar-design-1351423/ Again, good fab work!

That is a nice piece of fabrication there, I look forward to seeing it complete!

Uh, what he said- definitely! As it is my tendency to design stuff that do unexpected things, could you post a photo with the gate partially open, its the way the "S" is going to open that intrigues me. If it somehow "undoes" itself as a symbol, then I will have to label it...

I have gotten in the habit when I have an important project that does not have to be done yesterday to sleep on it (uh, the idea), so I appreciate what you said about the hanger going on the pipe as opposed to what you actually fabbed up. But you got it working, that is really the deal n'est-ce...

The BENDER, no not the BENDER on Futurama Yeah, thanks Mike for the info and the update to come. I have seen a few of these benders come up in my reading, it is always nice to be able to "view" the results page, you know what I mean?

Now I have this bender on my 2-Do list. BTW, have the bends been to your satisfaction. Nice job!

    Foam & Fiberglass?

Guster, that was a nice survey of the process, good info there folks

    Foam & Fiberglass?

Well, yes & no. There are millions of surfboards and homebuilt aircraft that have fiberglass directly on the foam. I built a Rutan Long-EZ aircraft using this technique. Bottom line: it depends both on what type of foam and what type of resin (I like epoxy resin, which does not melt the foam)...

Uh, what he said ,you can also clamp the ground lead to the table when welding "hard to ground clamp" stuff.

Good size and nicely done. BTW, did you weld the top plate on to the angle?

    Foam & Fiberglass?

Please post some photos of your progress on the custom console. When you start the fiberglass work: Measure your resin to hardener carefully, save the (throw away) mixing cup to check on the cure. Better to know sooner that a layup has not cured fully.....

Hey Leevon, nice table! May I suggest that you make some kind of slip-on cover for the welder? Then when you are using that angle grinder.....

    Lincoln MIG conversion kit

I posted words to this effect somewhere else on this board, but, when I changed my WeldPac 155 over to MIG the results of the very next welding session were startlingly better than the flux core. Like others have mentioned, follow the instructions carefully marking them off as you perform them...
