    Tools from the old world

Hey moose. I can get most stuff locally but it's always at retail list price. I'll have to check eBay more. Do you find it at a lower price? Thanks for your help :) I wish I'd bid on that 1/4 set you got off eBay a while back :p -James

    Tools from the old world

I'm thinking of getting a set of stahlwille 13 combis in metric to complement my AF 14s. I've been measuring my current import metric set, and the 13s are quite a bit shorter, even though my imports aren't 'long'. Could anyone with 13s, or maybe both, comment on their length. I dong want to buy...

    Hazet Tools, Whats the Appeal?

I'd like to know how they compare too. I love my stahlwille spanners and, going by price, I can only assume hazet are better still. Looking through the hazet catalogue, I wish I could have one of their filled rollcabs, looks great!

    garages from the uk....???

This is mine from a year or so ago. The house related stuff is now out and it's crammed with tools instead. There's also no project in there now. You'd think that'd leave more space but infact the opposite seems true! I'll take some more photos tomorrow showing what it's changed to. I wish it...

    Hazet Tools, Whats the Appeal?

It was using a friends Hazet tools on a beetle that originally got my attention toward german tools. I have stahwille stuff as it's easier to find, but the hazet is real nice. I love my snap-on tools, and a draw full of chrome looks great, but then looking at my drawer of german wrenches just...

what was the first and last decent tool you brought??

First, if it counts, was an SO rollcab. Handtool, it was a snap on regular 3/8 ratchet. Latest, called the SO guy today to order a softgrip 3/8 flex ratchet and a softgrip 3/8 breaker bar whilst they are on offer in the flyer.

Anyone use the SO movable peg socket rails?

Anyone use the SO movable peg socket rails?

I have hardly any deep sockets, so it seems a bit of a waste. Plus, I'm in the uk, they seem expensive here!

Anyone use the SO movable peg socket rails?

Hey, My socket collection needs some sorting, and I was thinking about using these as an upgrade from my metal clip and rail holders. The SO guy is taking forever to get back to me with some, so if I ant them it looks like I'll be getting them from the website. Does anyone have any experience...

    Tools from the old world

Had a weekend working on the daily Mini, overheating, oil leak, usual Mini fun! made great use of the recently acquired NWS stuff, and I have to say, these are brilliant! Handles are very comfy, especially being chunky VDE type, and all the heads are all sharp and grippy. MLT, would you...

Sockets for 206AFSP General Service Set

Thanks heelsroll! I thought the space might be designed by SO to be fitted with their sets, but i guess its a bit bigger to be universal with their other items. Many thanks!

Sockets for 206AFSP General Service Set

Hey everyone. I just picked up this handle set for an awesome £60. :) I'd like to add a shallow AF and metric sets, creating a grab and go socket set for working out on the driveway (common) or rescuing broken down friends. Can anyone tell me which sets I need to buy? The Snap-on catalogue...

If you can learn to use it, its invaluable

    Let's see your toolbox.

This is my home box, used to maintain and restore my own and my friends collections of classic Minis. As such, I dont need a large range of tools, typically the same stuff gets used over and over, so the less used stuff is generally Eastern made, a fair few Halfords Pro pieces. Anyway, pics...
