Nice Gedore set there Hazet, I'd love those for working on my minis!

If a Torque spec is avaliable, I use it regardless of component. If there isnt one, I typically tighten it using my judgement on the bolt/component/use, still using the torque wrench to give myself a figure.

I have Metabo grinders and Jigsaws which I've used commercially. Really nice bits of kit and never let me down.

In this context, it's like a type of market sale.

Monte, I had seen them listed on the Gedore site but their own website isn't too great so I'll wait until monday and call them in person. I've found a couple of other places that stock them, and I think going by the picture here i'll order a 1/2" ratchet in the new year and see where to go from...

Minis! I get the occasional metric fastner, but mainly its all imperial.

That Gedore stuff looks really nice. I can't get on their website for some reason, so a quick question if I may. Being German, is it all Metric? I work solely in AF.

I seem to use the small ones a fair bit for carb work, depending on the set up there isnt always much access for a socket in a mini!

I was just about to post the same thing! Hub castles seem to be 1 1/4, 1 5/16s, 33, or 34 mm. All had the same thread but over the years different nut sizes seem to have been used.

Looks a solid start! One question, how come you don't keep the ratchets with the sockets, yet have the screwdrivers in there?

If you can't add width, meaning a bigger footprint on the shopfloor, to me it makes sense to go for a box that allows you to build upward if you need to expand.

My Grandad bought me this back in the early 90's, my first tool box. These days I keep it with me at uni (200 miles from my garage) with a few tools for simple tasks. I remember when I got it thinking it was huge. If only I'd known then what I would own now!

Thanks for the reply Rico. Good to know about the pliers, thats something I am certainly lacking on these days. If I can still get an internet connection later, I'll stick up some photos of some UK made Britool stuff if you guys like? I'm pretty sure I have the keys to the toolbox with me.
