1/4" drive Ratchet Handle with no markings

Any thoughts on how common it was to make a ratchet handle with no manf. marks on it? It is at least as old as the early 1960s (given to me then when I was a "kid") and has a knurled handle. Also, an orifice on top for oil or grease. It's not a bad ratchet, and I'm curious about it...

    Upgrade Snap-on F831 Flexhead Ratchet???

I have an F831 - how much of an upgrade are the F936, FLF80a or whatever? This ratchet is strong enough for me so that's not an issue (I use a breaker bar!!) But what about tooth count, swing? And what about backdrag? Or anything else ... I've seen several threads on here but it is hard to...

    Ratchet Handles

searches aren't finding more than sporadic info... Let's pick 3/8" as an example Ko-ken seems to have the least back-drag but are coarse toothed (even tho that is their specialty) Lots of other choices for top quality, but does any brand hit all the marks at once? we could use Snappy as a...

    Big Numbers

was comparing a Facom 440 series wrench to a Snap-Off one and besides the lighter wt., I realized the Facom had nice big numbers on it. I can actually read the "15" stamped into it. I know, this problem is my fault. I should use the wrenches (and the sockets) often enough that I immediately...

LED replacement bulb for T3 Halogen Bulb

At least I think they are T3 type bulbs. These are the long thin "tube" bulbs that get blazing hot and set the garage on fire if anything is close to it. I put up a bunch of el cheapo work-lights for overhead garage lighting about 20 years ago. They up about 12 foot high on the walls. It...

How to use the Hazet 6413-4 Sliding Square??

This is the dingus that has two male ends on it - 1/2" and 3/8" (they make other sizes too). Other than use with some old funky female recess ratchet handle, I cannot figure out how you'd use it. And it bugs me that I can't think up some ideas:headscrat, so anybody know of other uses?
