Any thoughts on how common it was to make a ratchet handle with no manf. marks on it? It is at least as old as the early 1960s (given to me then when I was a "kid") and has a knurled handle. Also, an orifice on top for oil or grease. It's not a bad ratchet, and I'm curious about it...

This is the dingus that has two male ends on it - 1/2" and 3/8" (they make other sizes too). Other than use with some old funky female recess ratchet handle, I cannot figure out how you'd use it. And it bugs me that I can't think up some ideas:headscrat, so anybody know of other uses?
