Carburetor screwdrivers for jets! They must be out there somewhere

So for many years I have rebuilt carbs for small engines and most of the time I have been able to get by with the tools I have. But when you remove jets off bad carbs as you know they can be tough. I use kroil to loosen the jets first but when I get time for the removal I am struggling a bit...

Fluke Vibration Meter Model 805 - Amazing testing tool

Amazing tool for instantly testing bearings, vibrations and more without taking the item apart. You can read a lot more information on this tool than I can probably tell you. I bought to use for a repair that ended up getting figured out after I bought it. This tool has never been used and...

Best lubricant for a x4 torque multiplier

I haven't had great luck finding this info. I was lucky enough to pickup an older X4 multiplier which I had always wanted. It was in good shape, but I took it apart and the lube is definitely just about spent. Any tips on what to use, I would think maybe a grease is fine but not sure if...

    Klein Tools Go To China?

As one poster put, only the simple hand tools are made here, the others are all Chinese. In my opinion Klein has turned to garbage. The finish looks bad and as one other put my few tools haven't held up at all from minimal use. Too bad for Klein and all of us. I will stick with Facom...

Slight restoration on a tool finished in black oxide

I have acquired a few tools that are modern have a "black oxide" finish, not sure if that is what is is but it probably explains it. They are about 80% in good shape but I really want them to last and unfortunately one has some rust on the surface. I can take it apart and clean it up maybe...

Jack oil, do you change it?

I have a Craftsman 2 ton aluminum jack that has worked very well for me. I bought this when Sears had just started selling this aluminum jack (maybe 10-12years ago) and I remember reading lots of posts about it leaking. Mine never has and only gets used a few times a month and I have never...

    Here's a deal on Kroil

I finally tried it last year and was surprised to see that I think it beats PB Blaster in my applications. I have had a few tough spots, very badly corroded bolts and it definitely worked very well. Love PB but when I need a penetrant this beats it all.

Abrasive Chop Saw, What one to buy?

I own the DewaltDW872 and the vise is a little different but the saw works great for me. I use it cut all sorts of material usually for welding. If I am cutting something finer I will use a portable band saw I have with stand, but the dewalt is so fast and quick that I use it mostly. I had a...
