Same here, my uncle deals with Grainger on a DAILY basis so I had him take a 3/4" ratchet in to get replaced/rebuilt kit. They said unless it was bought through them (Grainger) they wont do anything. Luckily since everyone in there knew him well, I got a rebuild kit. Wont be buying Proto anymore...
