    Yard gas tools

You can scorch and seize it, we can only guess how bad - from rings to piston, sleeve and pin, all the upper part of engine. But you know it afterwards :( , not before. Both stihl and husqvarna oils are only average, get good motorbike oil (full synth!). Helicoil job is fairly easy and fast...

OTC 7431 adjustable wrench vs. metric nuts?

I'm starting to think about a pipe wrench too...

    Yard gas tools

    1. For Ryobi get a helicoil ;) . If it doesn't work, take dimesions of pole and shaft (or clutch cover) and buy any used engine that fits. 2. Poulan probably needs major rebuild: piston rings, seals, bearings and after that you can check the carburator (if it doesn't start). I totally...

OTC 7431 adjustable wrench vs. metric nuts?

I have no problems with scrapping original bolt and using a new one. I'm not a collector ;) .

Snap On Whitworth Socket from the 'bay

What's the difference? Are they marked by thread size instead of head size? Can you list dimensions?

OTC 7431 adjustable wrench vs. metric nuts?

Yea, that's the wrench :E . 36", nut size up to 4-3/4". I need to turn a few 60mm flange nuts in old pipes, it's a bit small for this wrench but if I can get this offer cheap... I can't find any other big tools near me :( . I can't get any info from the seller, got only pics. How much would...

    Yard gas tools

I ask: how big area? For grass - go for a model with 4-point vibration dampers, it's worth it, but most of them are marketed as professional. I don't know if there are any Chinese cheapos. You can choose from Stihl, Husqvarna/Jonsered and Makita/Dolmar (same tool, different colors), IDK if...

    Kobalt Xtreme Access sockets?

I hoped to find one that only these would fit. If there aren't any - screw the sockets ;) , they're antithesis of socket idea.

OTC 7431 adjustable wrench vs. metric nuts?

I found an offer on a used one but I need it only for metric. Since it doesn't have thumbscrew but is adjustable only in fixed sizes, I'd like to know the sizes - how close I can get to metric? OTC site doesn't even list this wrench :( ... D*, I cannot edit the topic, correct tool model is 7341.

    Floor Jack oil change?

It's only a hand-pumped jack, not some heavy machine with hydraulic powertrain and tools. It would be interesting if you drain the oil and check how it looks (and post pics!) - you probably put it back in.

    Kobalt Xtreme Access sockets?

Are there nuts or bolts with this shape anywhere? Or they're just "universal"?

    Homemade Tools

If you use brush with 11krpm, I have no words... 1st, much slower! 2nd, use overload protection set at less then full power - grinder stops instead of catching and destroying sth./hurting smb. And yes, always be careful, but also think what you do. PS: Guys, is this "who has bigger balls?"...

    Homemade Tools

Get yourself rpm regulator and adjustable overload protection - that way if you press too hard, grinder just stops. It's safer to have wire bush or sandpaper disc on that then cutting disc.

    Tools from the old world

OK, I thought that Smalcalda was BRD not DDR. So now I have two brands to look for. Any others?

    Tools from the old world

I meant the female square, not the bone. It still may be interchangable as a repair kit but most ratchets have them ;) .

    Tools from the old world

It's not - if ratchet mechanism survive, square will crack in one corner. Man, just don't let your neighbors use cheater bars and any ratchet will be sufficient!

    Tools from the old world

Just hand tools (ratchets, sockets, wrenches etc). Comparing bigger tools and machines is quite different, I know there were may companies in all Eastern Bloc countries. I want to recognize good hand tools if I find them, so please name them all and compare quality. I have a nice 3/4" ratchet...
