T8 not much difference between 1600 and 3000 lumens

I purchased the led replacment lights from Lowes. They were 1600 lumens. They just weren't quit bright enough so I orderd a few 3000 lumens from Amazon. These were a real disappointment. They were about the same brightness but cost three times as much. Am I missing something or was I just...

Help on stripped out plug for temp sensor on head

We just dropped in a rebuilt 305 in a 1985 El Camino when I noticed that we had not put in the tempature sensor in the left side head. It had a plug with a square hole in it that I could get to from the wheel well but it rounded out when I tired. I am looking for suggestions. If I drill it out...

    Plastic between slab and ground

I had them remove the vapor barrier around the rebar where I had connected my Ufer ground. I do not believe that the Ufer ground will work if the concrete does not come in contact with the earth. The rest of the slab had vapor barrier. Reb

I have a 20amp GFI breaker that is very randomly tripping. It runs 4 outlets and seems to trip off when I am not in the shop and everything is turned off. Just a phone, computer and a TV sitting there idle. Is there a way to check if it is the breaker, or just swap it out with another and see...

I knew Snap-On was high but JeZZZZ

I have a Snap-On ( John Bean ) tire changer. Model 8950. Last week the plastic bowl for the water separator blew up. It is a small one only about 1.5 X 5 inches. I called Snap-On to get another one. $180.00. That is ridiculous for a $5.00 part. Any of you all know where I might get one that is...

    Pressure washer problem

I have a Sears 5hp gas pressure washer. Most of the time now, the pressure coming out of the nozzle is not much more than the inlet water pressure. Every now and then it seams to catch and I have good pressure. Most of the time it is just very low. The inlet screen is clear. Any help on...

Sell me a CORVETTE!! (Vette owners only..)

Don't forget about the C5's. I have 170000 miles on mine now and love it. Over 30 mpg's on the highway and almost all of the power I could want. Very easy to work on and pretty damn reliable. Plus I think it is one of the prettier ones. You should be able to find one for under 20k with out alot...

    New auto shop 27 x 45

Just recently finish my auto shop. It is 27x45 which is still 1200 sp ft so it cost the same as a 30x40 but gave me more room on the end while still providing enough space for a couple of cars. I did all the work on the interior but had a local company put up the shell and foundation. It...
