Exactly! I bought an opened (and resealed) trimmer head package at Lowes that was on clearance. I got it home and there was ONE adapter left in the package. Of course - not one that would work with my trimmer model. :(

Outlets on the underside of a workbench are fine - depending on what type of work you do! I worked as an engineer at a very large communications company as my first employer out of college. They had outlets on the underside of all of their technician benches similar to the pictures posted...

I would have thought someone would mention to use pigtails for the outlets.

My 38' wide shop has 6/12 pitch trusses and allow for the attic storage room to be almost 8' high - 10' wide.

I'd recommend placing a 2 x 6 alongside the 2 x 4 with the wedge cut ends that overlaps the joint to the 2 x that is attached to the ceiling. Use wood screws though the side. That will reinforce the attachment and remove any doubt of the existing attachment failing.

2x6 or 2x8 would be standard for the header - double'd up of coarse to fill the 4" wall thickness. 2x4 won't cut an inspection. single 2x4 for window bottoms is standard - that is just a nailing ledge for the bottom window frame/ledge.

I'd suggest you shop around. So far on my build, I've purchased framing lumber and roof decking (Techshield type) from a local lumberyard, OSB sheathing and the entry door from Lowes, and the architectural shingles and windows from Home Depot. The lumberyard was $2/sheet cheaper than others...
