That's a great deal on those flex sockets. I grabbed both sets from one of my local stores last week. Looked like they had been hanging on the rack untouched for years, which is probably why they're blowing them out.

Is it possible to use a larger piece of threaded rod and actually thread the rod into the pipe, then secure it with a nut?

I can't think of any situation I've ever encountered where I wished that my non-locking flex head ratchets locked. :dunno: With that said, I've never owned a locking flex head ratchet.

I finally no longer have an excuse to not buy some new hammers. I really have been waiting for orange... :rocker::thumbup:

I keep this set from GearWrench in my truck. You might be able to find it cheaper, but in my opinion it's worth the price in the link. I got mine from ToolTopia in a sale 5 or so years ago for about $180 (their current price is a lot more)...

I would think that a slide hammer would work if you heat the entire area with a torch at the same time. Like ilovevocs said above, though, you'll still need some shrinking to get everything back in line. And forgive my ignorance on this topic, but what the heck is a lawn roller used for?
