    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Am I reading this right? You're referring to the 5.0 batteries that HD sells for $129 each, and you sell them 5 for $200? I bet they are selling like hotcakes.

Wire feed on MIG welder not working

larry4406 - You called it! With a wiggle of the voltage selector knob, the wire feed motor started working again! Now I can get back to fixing my trailer. Thanks for the insight, Larry. Saved me some money and lots of frustration I'm sure!

Wire feed on MIG welder not working

This is very helpful, mine is in fact the same machine. I'll mess around with the voltage switch some and see if I have some luck with it. I took the outer cover off this weekend, and conveniently there was a wiring diagram on the inside of the cover, but that diagram had no detail of the...

Wire feed on MIG welder not working

So, "I'll try to get into it one day this week..." turned into "I'll take a look at it in 13 months." This weekend I opened it up and pulled the wire feed motor out. I had no voltage at the motor when activating the trigger. I hooked the motor to a 12v car battery and it spun over. The two...

    Beer Cooler Hinges

Agreed. I might have considered rounded edges on the stationary bracket. Nice work in any case

    Roadside Electrical Testing

If the diagnosis requires any more than a good test light, then the repair likely won't be happening on the roadside either.

    Rivet-clip puller pliers: anyone tried?

Of all the tools I've used for those, I've found this style to be the most useful.

New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

This sums it up well. I'm in the same position as Catch_22, getting nearly half the benefit I used to. With that said, I AM still getting a benefit. I can't be mad at the vendor for giving me a free benefit, even if it's a lower value than before.

    Dog kennel

I came into this thread fully expecting the dog kennel to be a two story luxury spa, given your past projects.

    Gas Station Driveway Bell

Something like a curb or chock fixed to the floor could work well, although it would leave a trip hazard when the trailer is not in place. Personally, I like the bell idea.

Snap On Roto Head Bit Ratchet

The 3/8 ratchet of that design is by far my favorite ratchet. Not sure I'd pay the same kind of money for a bit ratchet as I did for my 12" long 3/8 ratchet. Never had a lot of use for bit ratchets though.

    Quality air compressor regulators

Glad you've sorted it out. Just to add to the thread, I've been pleased with a Pneumatic Plus regulator similar to the one linked in the original post on my older 30gal Craftsman compressor. I bought it after two Craftsman regulators that were garbage right out of the box.

    HF Daytona Jack

Last week I found myself in the middle of an off-site job and my 15+ year old jack started leaking down. There was a HF around the corner, so I found a $179 coupon and picked up the yellow Daytona jack (knowing it wasn't supposed to work, I tried the 20% off coupon anyway- no luck). So far I've...

Impact driver + 3/8" adapter vs. 3/8" impact wrench?

The new breed of impact bit drivers are surprisingly powerful. I recently picked up a Milwaukee 18v Fuel driver and it's far more powerful than my Dewalt 12v max 3/8 impact (to be expected, I guess). I learned just how powerful it was last weekend when I was bolting the winch back on to my side...

    Suggestions on Fluid Evacuators?

I'll go ahead and throw in a 927th recommendation for the Mityvac 7201. It's a fantastic unit at a very reasonable price. I got mine from ToolTopia when it was on sale for $89 with free shipping, which appears to be their current price: https://www.tooltopia.com/mityvac-7201.aspx The only...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

So my trimmer/hedger combo is supposed to arrive in store next Wednesday (nothing should take a week anymore). Last night picked up a Fuel impact driver, two 5ah batteries, and a charger (all new) from craigslist for $180. Apparently the guy bought a set just for the packout. Now I'm keeping my...
