Welcome! As others have said, incandescents in the form of Halogen bulbs are the easiest fix. Plain appliance bulbs are also still available.

My question is the opposite. Why would anyone ever use a deadblow hammer? Used several as a mechanic and hated all of them. Just... mushy feeling. I'll take a solid ball peen or regular claw hammer every time.

Agreed on VW. I usually ended up using plain old needlenose pliers, held sideways. Or vise grips.

I wish I could tell every new tech to buy this set instead of going into debt with the Snap On truck. I bought a similar SK setup (metric only) back around 1998 and never felt the need to upgrade.
