New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

Alright, so I'm going to tee right off of the meter. Question is though, how should I do it? Im thinking of turning the leg into the house straight up with a T down into the house. Then to the right of that T a 90 down to the riser to the garage. Anything special I should be aware of?

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

Thanks CNGsaves. The run is 82' at grade from the house to the garage. I am planning on only having a 50,000 BTU heater, that's it. Exiting the house about 20' from the meter and all 3/4" from the 1" feed from the meter. It will be the first connection. From DTE: Our standard gas delivery...

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

Alright, that will work. I need some support brackets at each building and some other fittings. Anyone have a chamfer tool (and cutter) I can borrow or buy?

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

So my buddy gave me some 200' of 3/4" yellow IPS natural gas line and I'm planning on burying it from my house to my garage. I've looked at risers, but can I run the line into both buildings underground and transition to steel pipe inside rather than having a riser? House is on a 42"...

    Preferred Fluorescent color?

5000k personal preference for me. I have some 6500k on one side of the garage and they aren't terrible just a little more blue.

    3000psi-ish, 3gpm-ish Pressure Washer (Gasoline)

Hello ladies. Tell me about your pressure washers. I want to spend around 500-1000 USD to get a good all around pressure washer. I'm not in the market of cleaning stuff daily, but maybe 3-10 times per year. I have some tractors, but I'm not going to get a steam cleaner, unless someone is...

    Enclosed Trailer Outlet Box

I've put in about 10 gfcis and wired about 8 of them backwards! Now I leave the yellow sticker on and wire the line side first!

Tempted to oversize my conduit and fish an air line through to the shed

I spit out my water... lmao. I don't think they make a fitting or an adapter that fits a panel knockout. Would I do it if I had to and then remove it before I sold the place, maybe. You could make it a multi-use panel with some nice bulkhead fittings, just be sure to ground the airline...

When installing wire nuts pre-twist or no?

Pretwist with the wire nut, then take the wire nut off to check, then put it back on. Double whammy!

Stainless welding mild steel? ID this!

So this was welding about 10 years ago and I've always wondered what it was done with. Obviously it looks like stick, but what is the rod? And how is it done? It hasn't rusted in this time and I didn't think you could weld mild steel with stainless rod? Any ideas? I'll take some better pics...

SE Michigan - Planning 40'x48'x14' Pole Barn

I also had my buddy over who happens to be approving plans for the twp now and he said I am fine with a steel roof. I'm also pricing 30'x48' and some other combinations in between. Thinking a 2' overhang would be nice over the doors.

SE Michigan - Planning 40'x48'x14' Pole Barn

Talked to my concrete guy about it and he said I'll need about 40 yards for 5" and would give me a good price. He said I would dig a 2' rat wall and be ok. Not sure about the labor though. Called an Amish builder a few of my buddies have built barns with but have not made contact with him yet...

SE Michigan - Planning 40'x48'x14' Pole Barn

Ok, so my little detached 3-car garage is getting filled full of stuff... and it's irritating me. I wasn't going to even build here, but I've wanted a nice barn since I was a kid. I started pricing pole barns around and have found one I really like and will fit on my property nicely. (5 acres)...

Making simple pallet forks from mostly scrap...

This is really neat. Nice work. I will say that as a farm boy, we use lots of tractors and pallet fork attachments both on the front and the back of tractors. They all bend because you end up using them for all sorts of things! One drawback for you is that since they are not djustable width...
