    Finally, decent internet with Starlink

I am glad to hear that this service is working out for most folks on this site. I considered it as I have few options, but at the last minute a new 4/5 g home service became available, and I signed up. I'm not sure why but my Reddit feed is streaming more and more users who are having horrible...

    Geothermal heat/cooling question.

Hi, you didnt post your location, that makes a big difference in what sort of system will work for you. If you are thinking of having horizontal loops, that hole will be way too small - typical systems require multiple loops that are hundreds of feet long (depending on location).

    Network Connector for Security Camera's?

One site that really helped me with sourcing and setting up cameras was IP Cam Talk. Search them on google for their 'cliff notes' blog, it is a great resource you should read before buying anything.

    Cell phone booster??

another WeBoost fan - buddy has one that he brings to camp. Without it, there's essentially no signal. Antenna is on a tower about 10 feet above roof peak. Brings it to 3-4 bars inside. While I prefer no cell signal in camp, this does allow some of the guys to get away for longer than they...

    Network Connector for Security Camera's?

Yes loganb nailed it. Sounds like you may have the soffit installed already, but if it's aluminum, having some blocking behind the soffit would help with better securing the camera.

    Upper Cabinet install/layout question

ah, now I get you. Bucko had some good suggestions, or you could make a false box on either side that matches the style of the uppers. This would make it look like its part of the cabinets, and not just a filler piece.

    Upper Cabinet install/layout question

Hi, if I'm getting it right, can you just re-size the adjacent uppers so you don't need a filler? PS I laughed out loud when I saw how many browser tabs you had open :)

Automate Kitchen Exhaust Hood Fan using inline ECM fan - Turbocharge yer exhaust!

Nice job Denwood. I've been meaning to do something like this for a long time - our exhaust fan sounds like a jet engine on high speed!

slab over main pipe to septic?

if once you start excavating and see the pipe, maybe. But if the pipe is lower than your ground prep, I would not disturb it as moving the soil around it and replacing is going to have more impact than just leaving it be.

You never know if in the future someone decides to plug it into a standard outlet - now the pool is unprotected.

How much land do you need to not have "visible" neighbors?

We have 1.5 acres, with 10'+ cedar hedges on both sides. They are perfect for privacy.

    Sloping garage floor and workbench

You didn't mention it in your post but the thread title says workbench. I'd build a mobile workbench that has adjustable locking wheels. If you want something really sturdy and adjustable, you can make or buy a retractable caster system. Here's a great thread with a lot of great ideas...

    Strange power issue

We had a power outage a few evenings ago. TV went out, but then I noticed a few lights were still on. Maybe lost a leg? I then check a few other lights that I know are on different legs, and they have power. I run into the shop and check voltage at the outlets. 60 volts hot-neutral on both...

    Dumb Outlet Wiring Question

You can try disconnecting the Load wires, then power back on and try resetting the GFCI. If it sets on and you have power at the outlet, then you most likely have a ground fault somewhere in your load wiring / devices. If it doesn't set, then its a bad GFCI.

    protect drywall in garage

Plywood? But seriously, I don't believe there's a finish (coating) you can put on drywall to protect it from abuse. There is impact resistant drywall out there but its crazy expensive.

    Another Waterpump Thread

For steep shores, I've typically seen the pump either in a boathouse (if there is one) or in a small pump house close to shore. Never seen a submersible. OP, I suspect the pump has a fault but not enough to cause the breaker to flip. This could also be a bad breaker which would be very dangerous.
