    Cleaning Kennedy Brown Crinkle Paint

Well....I mostly ignored all y'alls advice, with good results! Had the Hotsy going to clean up my skidloader, so hit it with some Simple Green, and the Hotsy, from a respectable distance. Turned out pretty good!

    Cleaning Kennedy Brown Crinkle Paint

Always wanted a Kennedy K32 carpenters tool box. IDK why...I guess to keep carpentry tools in? Anyhow, picked up a nice, straight one at a garage sale for $10, but it's absolutely filthy on the outside. Any ideas on how best to clean all the grunge out of the crinkle finish paint? I'm thinking...

    Welding helmet choice

I must be the odd man out here. Got a Jackson auto shade that is ok, but usually use my old fixed pipeliner helmet, or my Cherokee chin operated one, if I'm doing a lot of tackup stuff, or spot welding. The Cherokee gets a lot of strange looks at first, but I've had it for years and love it. Top...

good day for vintage tool scores

Love Diamond stuff! I don't know if the 24" were a bit weak, or just prone to being abused, but I've seen several broken in this area. All had been repaired, with varying degrees of skill.

good day for vintage tool scores

Love the Diamond! Got every size but the 24". Thought I had one yesterday at flea market but it was broken and had been brazed back together. Guy was not coming off $25, and I didn't want a messed up one.

    Tire Mounting Lube?

Ruglide if I'm in the shop. I've used Armor All, GoJo and Crisco in a pinch. Never a problem with any of them.

Organizing or Arranging Tool Battery Chargers

What I did was cut a piece of plywood to mount my chargers and a 6 slot power strip. Hangs on wall with chargers plugged into power strip, but can be picked up and taken along to where needed easily.

    Snap On MT2700 Ignition Tester

No need for an oscilloscope for the old iron I work on! If it doesn't rain tonight, I need to go work on a Slant-6 Mopar irrigation engine tomorrow. Thanks for the offer, Ramblin Man! PM sent!

    Old Hog House Revival Thread....

Welcome Kaiser37, from another SE Nebraskan! Looks like you've got your work cut out for you there. I totally get where you're coming from, with working with what you have. Is it all concrete, or just the center?

    Snap On MT2700 Ignition Tester

Anyone have one of these? I still work on a lot of old gas engines, from grain trucks, to gas tractors, swathers and old industrial stuff. Sort of looks handy for finding ignition problems, though I've gotten along ok without one for 25+ years. Are they worth having?

    Craftsman C-3 /19.2 Line, Worth L-ion Upgrade?

As usual, you guys were right. This battery made one hell of an improvement to the performance of my impact! Wish I'd bought one sooner.

    MAC Tools Quality

Our area has had a lot of different dealers, 10+ in last 20 years. Most were really decent guys, who tried hard, but they all ended up getting shitcanned by Mac. Low sales volume was the reason I kept hearing. Problem was, nobody bought, because they knew there may not be a dealer tomorrow...

    Craftsman C-3 /19.2 Line, Worth L-ion Upgrade?

Thanks guys. I'd pretty much made up my mind to try one before, but I'll get one for sure, next time I'm in town. Got a bunch of hay down, and that C3 Impact gets a workout when I'm haying.

    Craftsman C-3 /19.2 Line, Worth L-ion Upgrade?

Got quite a bit of Craftsman C-3 cordless stuff, couple drills, 1/2 and 3/8 impacts, Recip saw, circular saw, and some others. NiCad batteries are on their way out, I'm down to one decent one left. Already have the multi chemistry charger, and one small L-I battery, which works great. Thinking...

Tire spoons and manual tools, what do you use?

Slide hammer bead breaker and Ken Tool tire spoons. Got 2 18" ones from Northern Tool that work just fine too. I've got a tire machine, but use these often too.
