Bruce goes to a swap meet

Had fun and bought tools too! Bought a tub of stuff with a lot of Williams and other stuff but found 2 brands that I was unfamiliar with. Hexo 15185 highly modified wrench. Good work and it was just today I realized it WAS modified. Has a loop bonded on and a 9/16ths socket welded straight...

    12 point box wrench size.

I just discovered that a 3/8th square head bolt is not compatible with a 3/8ths 12 point wrench or socket! Open end 3/8ths fits fine. Found the 7/16ths 12 point is a good fit. After wrapping my brain around it I understood why, but is this something well known and I just missed it? Bruce

    Rfd tv

I turned on this channel to watch "Texas Country Reporter" and left it on for the next show called "Postcards from Nebraska" and they had a nice bit about pickup trucks. Been checking out other shows and found "Successful Farming the Machinery Show" and they went inside an Oklahoma shop where...

    Temptation!

I am a tool junkie! And a tool hoarder! But a few years ago I promised to shed the chrome monkey at least until I had my stuff organized. I was in with a bad crowd (Estate sales people) and I cut ties with them so I was not tempted...then they do this! One of the ladies snuck around my block...

Worth checking out? Snap On box

Just a local ad, but the top seems to be a KRA-58b and the bottom is similar to my late 50s Craftsman box. Bruce

    Bonney tool box and friend

The Bonney looks a lot like my 58/59 Craftsman box but the other has me stumped. I'm such a sucker for those rounded corners. Anybody have a clue? I am going to look at them Thursday...might be cheap! Bruce

Found this box at a local estate sale and can find out nothing about it. 22" x 9" and 5" deep with a 7 1/2" hip roof. Lift out tray with socket divisions. Got a complete set of Herbrand 1/2" drive sockets with a speeder, breakover and ratchet with 4 extensions, Universal joint and a 36 mm...

Can I keep it? I'll take care of it!!!

Came home today to find this huddled in my driveway. Not sure where it came from or how it got there but I will try to give it a good home! It say Wilton, but can see no numbers or anything other than this on the base... Seems in good shape, just a bit scuffed and dirty. Did Wilton make...

    I love/hate swap meets!

I was once just a simple tool junkie. I loved finding that simple tool made the job a bit easier and added some chrome to my life. Then I come here and discover a bounty of new and different tools that has me questioning my current tool inventory. Now I am at a swap meet at Texas Motor...

    What do these pliers do?

Grabbed these up to do something when I noticed the odd faces. Looks like your basic 8" slip joint pliers but are just odd! Any ideas? Bruce
