    Waterproofing concrete slab deck?

We recently had a boathouse built with poured concrete as the decks. The upper deck has developed some very small cracks that are leaking through to the bottom floor. I’m wondering if anyone here is familiar with a product that I could seal the top deck so as to stop the leaks and prevent...

    34’ Gantry I-Beam?

I’m in the very early stages (this might be extremely cost prohibitive) of considering an I-Beam across the shop. I’d like to be able to lift say 2,000lbs at the center of the beam if need be. Would anyone have any idea where I’d need to start looking size wise on an I beam of this size?

What does Wal-Mart/Home Depot/Lowe’s seal their concrete with?

What type of product are these guys using? I don’t really want to do epoxy again, but I love the “wearability” of the these floors. Anyone have any idea? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Loft over bench?

So, I've got "tall" ceilings - 12'. That leaves me with a decent amount of unused, usable space. I'm contemplating putting a storage loft, once lumber prices drop back down, over my workbench. Just thought I'd see if anyone would wanna share their "bench lofts?"

    "New" MaxJax?

I guess I should have bought one of these when I was looking years ago... But, has anyone here purchased the "new and improved" MaxJax lift that is actually happy with it? I don't need the lower height of the lift, but I like the ability to store it out of the way when not in use.

Show me some light gray wall paint..

So, I’m all primed up and I’m trying to decide on final colors. I was all set on a semi-gloss white until I started thinking about a light gray in semi-gloss. Anyone here go solid gray on their walls? Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

    Did you OSB?

For those of you who used OSB on your shop walls and have had them for a decent amount of time - still happy? It’s getting down to the nitty gritty for me to make a decision... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thinking about picking one of these up as a beginner PC gun, just wondering if anyone is using this gun?

    Gas shop heater..

Hey guys- I'm planning on installing a gas heater before next winter and I've been contemplating where to put it. I have a 36x48 and I tend to spend most of my time in what could be called the back right corner of the shop. I've got a roughly 20x20 space that I've setup as my main "shop" the...

    Drywall experts needed within...

So, I'm about to finish the interior of my shop. I've decided to go with drywall. I've been reading its suggested to start with the ceiling. Why is that? My current shop is inhabited and it would be much easier, I think, if I started with the walls.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Rusting anchor bolts..

I just realized last year when I sprayed muratic acid on my floor to etch it, a couple of my anchor bolts must of gotten hit with the acid and are rusting. So I’m considering throwing a couple more down. Would you guys throw more down or just leave them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cabinet height above workbench?

So, for those of you with cabinets directly over your work surfaces, what height seems to work for you? I’d like to start mocking up some cabinets to see what will work but thought I’d see what has already been done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Everyone ready for the "Drywall vs OSB" weekly thread?

So.. It's quickly becoming "finish the shop interior time." Mostly to get the place insulated. I've been planning OSB since day 1.. It's cheaper and more durable. Well, today while browsing the HD website, it looks like I can save roughly $3/sheet and at 120ish sheets, that's a decent amount...

    JB Industries DV-285N..

Anyone have any experience with on of these? Recently picked one up from a friend who said it was bad, but he doesn’t know what is wrong with it. Well, I plugged it up and it seems to work. Pulled a vacuum on an old timing vacuum gauge I’ve got, and pegged it past 25”. It does blow a decent...

    Garage add-on amateur question..

So, between my current quickly filling up and my desire to separate wood work from metal work, I'm considering adding a 12' addition to the back of my shop. I'm also considering doing it myself. It's a project I've always wanted to tackle and I think I have the mechanical ability, I just have...

    Blowing out water lines ....

Ok, so I’ve got a 150’ run of 1” PVC running water to my shop. Just got it in the ground, don’t even have a sink yet, just stubbed out, but it does have some water in it. 99.9% of the run will be below the frost line, however the .1% that won’t will be the problem. So I’m thinking about...

    Freezer tripping GFCI..

New build, about a year old. We came home last week from being out of town and our garage freezer wasn't running. The freezer is NOT plugged into a GFCI, but there is one upstream of the freeezer and it is tripping. Reset the garage outlets GFCI and aside from the fact that I told the...

Chamfer tool - Polyethylene gas pipe - do you use it?

Do you pros use one on compression fittings? I go to the only plumbing supply store in town that has polyethylene pipe, get the pipe, riser and some compression fittings and tell them I need the chamfer tool. "No you don't. No one around here uses that thing on this pipe. It's a waste of...

Polyethylene gas pipe union under ground?

Any of you guys used a coupler for yellow poly gas pipe in the trench? I've got a run that's right at 200' I need to install and the local supplier only carriers 150' rolls. Unless I want to buy 425' roll, then they can sell me an entire roll. So, it's looking like I'm going to be joining...
