FREE (you pay shipping) - belt cover for Bosch glide saw

If you pay the shipping, you can have this for free. Bosch was supposed to send me the belt cover for a 12" SLIDE miter saw but instead sent me the one for a GLIDE 12 " miter saw. They told me to keep it. I'd hate to throw away a new part like that. Anybody want one? Free if you pay the shipping.

    Rigid vs Ryobi tile saw

Home Depot has the Rigid and Ryobi 7" wet tile saws for similar prices. Generally, Rigid is better than Ryobi as a rule, but the Ryobi has a larger cut capacity. I can't find too many good reviews of these, any thoughts?

Jamb liner for Unique Balance sash?

I need new jamb liners for some old windows. The windows were cut to accommodate the unique balance sash. Picture that is numbered 61 gives you and idea of what that looks like here...

Miter saw side extensions lower than table?

Is it normal for the side extensions on a miter saw to be slightly lower than the table. I've attached a picture showing what I'm talking about. The box arrived looking like it had been through 3 wars. Everything checks out though, other than this and some cosmetic damage to the belt housing cover.

80 vs 90 tooth blade on miter saw?

Given my experience with them on the table saw, I am a big believer in Forrest blades. I am buying a miter saw, and want to put a Chopmaster blade on it. Am I really going to notice a downside to the 90 teeth of the Signature line to the 80 teeth of the standard? I feel like once you're that...

    7 inches or 2#s?

HVAC guy says 7 inches is what I want, but I'm not sure how much he knows about the other appliances I will eventually put to gas. House is 2400 sq ft and will be running a gas furnace for the downstairs in the immediate future (upstairs has electric heat and for simplicity I'll just replace it...

Question for anybody with a Bosch CM12SD miter saw

I know on the GCM12SD miter saw you can't cut anything taller than 4.5" on the right side of the fence because of the placement of the belt drive. Is this still true on the CM12SD?

10" sliding miter saw for workshop use?

I want to get a 10" sliding miter saw. This will live in one place, so it doesn't need to be at all portable. I had thought the Bosch axial glide saws were king, but it looks like lots of people have issues with the table not being square. I saw high praise of the Rigid, which I have a hard time...

Do I need 15 gauge for baseboard?

I am doing shoe molding and baseboard. I understand I need an 18 gauge nail for the shoe. Do I need 15 gauge for the baseboard? The walls are plaster (rock lath) and the baseboard is 4.75" tall with a simple 1/2" plunge roundover cut in the top.

Hand tool dust extraction - how important is self clean?

I would like a dust extractor to use with my sanders and jigsaw. I like the idea of the Festool CT SYS, both because of size and price (or the Fein Turbo I with the add on HEPA filter if the extra power would be a good idea), but without a self-clean for the filter like the Bosch and the Metabo...

High quality alternative to Remgrit hole saw?

Normally I get all my drill bits from Norseman/Viking, but they don't make anything like this. What's a brand to look to for a high quality alternative to the Remgrit hole saw (hole saw for installing recessed lighting into plaster ceiling)?

FS: Stahlwille 1/4" and 3/8" ratchets

Sorry for the bad quality of the cell phone photo. I left my camera at my gf's house. ALL SOLD Shipping is included in the continental US. I have paypal and google wallet, and those prices reflect the net to me (i.e. if you pay a way with fees, add fees to that price). The two 1/4" ratchets...

Brown & Sharpe combination square vs Starrett?

Anybody have thoughts on how the Brown & Sharpe combination squares compare with Starrett's? I know the Swiss-made B&S products tend to be good, but the squares are made in USA, and I don't know anything about their US manufacturing.

How movable is the Delta 36-725?

My space is such that while I would have space to keep a saw the size of the Delta 36-725, as far as actually using it I would have to be outdoors. I know it has wheels, but I also know it weighs 200lbs - would I be able to roll it out of the shed using a sheet of 3/4" plywood as a ramp for the...

Any made in USA woodworking clamps?

I know there have been threads on this before, but it looks like even a 1 year old thread is out of date on this topic. Are there any made in USA woodworking clamps left other than the Dubuque aluminum bar clamps?

Should I get something other than the Bosch 1617 for a router?

I was hoping to have a little more time to research, but I see a good leap day deal today. Right now, my research has me at the Bosch 1617EVSPK (the 1617 with the fixed and plunge base). I expect at least for the time being not to need a router table for my purposes (I'm hoping I can do a lot of...

    CPOTools coupon?

Anybody have a CPO Tools coupon? I ordered a tool from Acme when they were doing 10% off, the next day CPO did 15% off but I stuck with Acme because I didn't want to cancel the order on them like that. Now here we are 11 days after I ordered and they are telling me it will be another 5 days...
