Help me ID this hatchet logo

I would appreciate any input as to the maker of this hatchet The stamping has 2 ovals, but inside I can see nothing. Inside the ovals at the top reads Extra. At the bottom appears to read DAM......... TEEL Damascus Steel comes to mind. A claim to method of steel quality perhaps?

"Keiser" Circle M or W logo on old grass clippers

Pretty complicated & works pretty well. On top of tool is a circle W or M. Pat number is hard to read. I like how the bottom blade extends back under the handle & steadies the action as it floats on the sidewalk.

Sometimes eBay has just what you are looking for. & question on square socket style.

I had ordered a never flat tire for one of my aging Jackson wheelbarrows that I use to get firewood into the cellar for the wood stove. In preparation, I used a wire wheel on a die grinder to clean off the old concrete & rust from the carriage bolts that hold the wheel on, & thought I should...

    J H Williams Adjustable VS Superjustable 4"

When I was cleaning the rust off this puppy, I expected to see Superjustable. Instead it reads: 4 in. Adjustable Patd USA. Otherside reads: J H Williams & Co. Drop Forged so my question is, does the wrench date before the Superjustable, Superrench, Superratchet era, or is it newer? I don't see...

Snap-on web site.... have the Russians taken over?

Of course not, But since some time Friday, I haven't been able to log on to the Snap-on site. In the past, the site goes down for a 1/2 day for upgrade or whatever, but this is an unusual amount of time. Does anyone have the inside track on what is going on?

1988 Snap-on Socket 1/4 dr. TTW12 What was it for?

Got this socket on a rail with some 1/4 drive carb adjust sockets. It's a new one to me. Dated 1988. It has 3 bars that would fit over a cone shape. I see a couple on ebay for sale, but no clear idea where it would have been used. Anybody recognize it?

    What is this Craftsman doo-hickey?

Any ideas on what this Craftsman plastic thing is? If it was a baby sized crutch, the part that goes in the armpit is lop sided. Everything else is symmetrical.

Is "Flat Ratchet" the correct name for craftsman wrench 42602? 4 Sizes in one.

First thing I noticed about this wrench is that the 12 point box inserts are beefier than a normal laminated wrench. Internet search this model number brings up two sale listings referring to it as a "flat ratchet" Is that a for-real name, or a made up thing? The inserts appear to be a single...

Can you identify this German made hex socket driving tool?

A recent yard sale find. I thought I could loosen up the knurled ring & it would be a ratcheting tool, but while loose enough to wiggle, it so far will not shift from a locked state. Stamped made in Germany, D.R.P. (or D.R.F.) and there is an ornate diamond shaped emblem on the shaft with maybe...

xcelite De Lux Multi-Purpose set 99 in Metal Case by Park Metalware

This set has been in my get around to it pile since last summer. I've seen plenty of Set 99 examples, usually in a rollup, but haven't seen this metal case. All the holes are filled but one, which I am guessing was for a reversible Phillips. Came from the estate of a ham radio enthusiast. I...

Can you explain Smith & Hemenway S & H Needle Nose Cutter Inserts?

Interesting to me why someone would make a pliers with removable cutter inserts. The jaws are tapped for a screw to hold down blades that fit in channels. The screw hole is round, so no depth adjustment is possible if you were to sharpen the cutters, making them shorter. And the cutter inserts...

What is the reason for Kraeuter 1830 pliers teeth not meeting tightly. Reason for the gap?

Curious why these pliers, when closed would be unable to grip a fine wire or piece of sheet metal. I've looked at photos of other examples, & it appears this is the way they are designed. When the cutters meet, the grip teeth still have a 1/32 gap. Curious if someone can tell me the reason/use.

My British Heart Brand by Wynn & Timmins Adjustable Wrench

I had posted this in the garage sale thread previously. I am not too successful with search, so hopefully this is interesting to someone else & has not been beat to death. The tool was rusted & frozen when I got it, it took PB Blaster and a lead hammer to work it loose to clean up. I found...

    How many clicks in a 360 rotation on a Snap-on FLF80 ratchet?

I just brought home this used ratchet which is to be fine tooth. However, it feels kind of rough to me, maybe it's just worn. Right now I have nothing to compare it to. As I rotate it in a full circle, there are only 36 clicks. The handle is stamped FLF80 2014 date. On an 80 head, how many...

Recognize this KD Fuel Filter 4-Way Angle Wrench?

Picked up this wrench in a lot. Am trying to figure out what it was used on. My last spin onto a carburetor fuel filter was my 78 351 Windsor. I don't recall it being that hard that a regular wrench or even a deep well socket was able to do the job. I see 3 of them for sale on ebay, but the...

Was tossed in a bucket of mechanic's tools. No markings. One side is hinged which would accommodate holding a larger/smaller item.
