    Sandblasting Cabinet with Pressurized Tank

Has anyone use this? I just installed the blue cabinet (powerfist), but saw there's on orange version (vevor). Is this pressure system significantly bigger than the suction system? Not sure if I can add the pressure pot to make it the same or if it's worth it?

Has anyone seen a shelf like this?

I saw it on FB and it sold too fast. I like how it looks sturdy and has railings. Image search doesn't help much. Does anyone know what brand/model these shelves are?

Help reach 400F in my smoker for powdercoating

I could not find an electrical smoker that would reach 400F and was large enough, so I purchased a pellet one. I could easily reach 400F but the ashes were a problem with powdercoating. Additionally, the auger would constantly get stuck from the pellets if it rained and I didn't cover it. Plus...

Choosing refrigerated air dryer for air compressor

These units seem pretty small, and not overly expensive, and a lot less hassle than building copper pipes, radiators etc. My air compressor is 80 gallon 2 target, 17 cmf at 90 psi. I'm looking at these 2 dryers, but can't seem to figure out any difference...

Pressure switch, magnetic starter, hybid switch, or nothing for 2 stage 175psi 5hp 24amp 220v 80 gallon air compressor?

I finally upgraded to this huge air compressor (never seen this brand before - hopefully it's good!) and I realized that it doesn't have any switch! I have to plug it into the wall outlet to make it work. I previously had 2 20 gallon compressors, but the deal on this one was too good to pass...

    1" to 1.5" pipe reducer doesn't exist?

My port on the diesel heater for air intake is 1" inch. I purchased a pipe that's 1.5" Diameter, or rather 1.485" ID, 1.605" OD. I'm trying to figure out how to connect 1" end to 1.5" I found an adapter of 1" to 1.25" and 1.25" to 1.5" Is there not a better way? Do I really need to spend...

    Rebuilding air compressor pump?

Pump 4b247b for speedaire 4B228E I wanted to make the air output bigger, 1/2 instead of 1/4. Got the idea from post #38 https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/3-8-vs-1-4-milton-high-flow-fittings.533308/ When I removed the bung to make it 1/2, I saw a bunch of rust inside the tank. So I...

Compression fitting for undersized OD copper pipe

I purchased some 1/2 OD pipe from Amazon to install a cooler/radiator into my compressor, and turns out the pipe is a little undersized. Because of that, I cannot install the compression fitting. The ferrule is a bit loose, so it doesn't get pressed properly, it always goes at an angle. I can't...

Anyone installed radiator for portable air compressor?

Saw this on the internet and got intrugued. Is there a company that specializes in radiator for air compressors? How to choose which one to buy? Looks pretty slick and is not getting in the way!

Air compressor inspection advice (cfm measurement)

I've been researching used air compressors for a while, probably for months, reading up about different ways to test them. Only today have I stumbled upon a couple of formulas on how to calculate the actual cfm. Which it seems would be a really important test, yet I don't see it recommended for...

3/8 vs 1/4 milton high flow fittings

I see most of these discussions have devolved into something weird. I read and read and read and cannot find the answer 🤣 I've plumbed my air system with 3/8 inner diameter hose. I have maybe a 15-20 feet run to the sandblaster, so not long...

    What are these compressors?

    Sandblasting question

I recently set up a sandblasting station and begun cleaning up some parts. It's my first time doing it and I have no previous experience. I was blasting fine for a few days with this cabinet. I had 50 lbs of aluminum oxide in it. The gun I'm using is Campbell Hausfeld AT122601AV I found that...

Where to buy a boot for a car jack?

I found this jack a while ago at princess auto, and I'm super happy with it. It's a beast and can raise a car by a lot more than any other jack that I've seen. Honestly there's no competition as far as I now. Part humber is tr15005 (torin big red) It's a very obscure jack it seems, not for sale...

    Help identify air compressor part

This little plastic piece is cracked in half and is barely holding on. Interestingly, among 100 parts for this air compressor, this plastic cover is not identified! It's leaking oil, especially if I tip the air compressor to access the drain port. Does anyone have a clue what the heck this...

120v to 240 switch for air compressor?

Sorry if it's a noob question. I found a compressor that I think will be the optimal choice for me. I plan to use it for one purpose only, light sandblasting. https://www.tenaquip.com/product/king-canada-air-compressor-electric-24-gal-29-us-gal-150-psi-120-1-240-1-v-kc-3124v2-uag293 It's the...
