    I need a reliable electrical tester/multimeter Fluke T5/6 vs 325

Gentlemen, I need to do some basic testing in my home panel 200amp and detached 100amp sub panel. I also do some basic testing with electric motors 1/3hp-10hp, boat and car electronics. Some small appliance testing and repair, HVAC etc. I like the capabilities of the T5/6 600/1000/Pro and the...

1974 Quincy QR25 model 350 LS ROC 15 is going back to work... Hopefully.

I have been watching Facebook Marketplace for a month or so, posting questions here in the forum as they relate to the best home shop compressors and with the help of several members I was able to narrow down my search for compressors to build up for my shop. Saylor Beall 705, Champion R15...

I have found a monster Quincy 350 air compressor with 120 gallon tank.. But it is in a really tough place to get to. No way for tractor, any ideas?

I looked at it and thought it was a 325 pump but when I got to it found out it was a 350 and not 250 but 500 pounds in a little bitty fenced in backyard. I carried the 10 hp motor but have to go back for the pump and tank because I was ill equipped. I'm thinking disassemble pump, and jack up the...

I'm planning to buy an old compressor for my shop, Kellogg American B325UA or Quincy QR25 model 325, both in 80 gal 3-5hp range.

I have found a few in my state and surrounding areas that interest me and I'm leaning toward the Kellogg. But I'd like to hear from any of you on your experience and why you'd go one way or the other. Impact guns, grinders, paint guns, needles scalers, sand blasting, general shop stuff use. I...

Replacing tool handles Arbor Press/Large Vise

Hello Good People, I have a few handles I’d like to swap out, Press/Vise/Drill Press. I’m wondering for the ends would I be better served with a lever or ball knob and would it be a stronger connection with the ball knob being male or female? This little handle won’t cut it. And figured while...

    Ever seen this Mill before?

I’ve got an opportunity to get this Mill locally and am trying to get any insight into it. The owner doesn’t seem to know much, he got it and never put it together. Wants it gone. I’m figuring out moving it and trying to get any insight.

Mobile tool kit based on first order of retrievability, what would you add or leave?

This is the current setup, most of my tools are old, some good but a lot of junk too. So with this I wanted to have as much nice newer stuff and just put the older stuff back in the garage as I build up what I use to see if it’s worth investing in. Lights, knives, and stuff like that stay in...

    Ratchets? Best light/medium duty

Best Ratchets for light duty? I bought the Wera Zyklops after watching some youtube video's and really liked them. The 1/4" being a daily driver but the 3/8 and 1/2" sit in the drawer. I grabbed the 3/8's to tighten down the battery in my wifes minivan and it locked up, I haven't used it a half...

Goodell & Pratt ratcheting stubby mod?

I have this awesome ratcheting flat head, but it would be really useful as a bit driver. I have the leatherman bit kit and a few most used bits in a small carrier. Any input?

    Vise/ Bench Grinder/Small Anvil...Cart? Anything I'm not considering?

I want to be able to take my grinding projects outside on my concrete pad. But also I want the table to be anchored in both the garage and on the pad. Originally I was looking for pedestals, but I think this may be a better way to go. I have a triangle shape in mind with the vise at the point, a...

Mounting Bench vise A or B?

My vise is pretty hefty at 130pounds, I’m interested in mounting it so I have two corners of the bench to utilize and have the static jaw flush with on both sides. The bench is over 2,000 pounds made of steel, 4’x9’ so I’m not concerned much about the weight tipping it. Would you mount the 3...

Hp for general use table saw?

I recently picked up an antique table saw, little bitty 8” Craftsman. I figured it would be ideal for small stuff, where my 10” would be more applicable to bigger stuff. It came with a 1/2 Hp motor, it doesn’t work but luckily I already had a 3/4hp that matches the machine ready to go. I’m not...

    Help finding bearings for bandsaw?

I have a rare antique bandsaw that didn’t come with the guide bearings. I haven’t been able to find another like it to follow. It’s a 14” Childs&Co and I’d prefer to keep the original guides if possible so I need to get a bearing that will fit and perform well. Any ideas as to which to pick and...
