I was in a new build last week and I have seen this numerous times thru the years. The stain person was staining the steps AROUND the runner. It cannot be a cost issue. The extra stain would not outweigh the time to tape and trim around the runner. Is there any logical reason for this?

The saw is compatible with most tracks (Makita, Festool, Milwaukee, Powerack, etc). Plus Metabo HPT has their own as well. Any tracks you would suggest or are they all about the same quality wise. I'll buy two tracks with their "combination" adaptor and some locks.
