    Hunter alignment machine problems

We have had 2 Hunter alignment machines over the last few years. First one was good for about 1.5y and then started blowing boards all over the place, we put $1000's worth of repairs into it. We followed all the recommended "fixes", such as monitoring power, installing backup power, and even a...

    Snap On Vantage Ultra

After much more time with the vantage ultra, I really see where the missing functions are causing problems. The zoom especially, but the secondary also. It's still useful, but most of the key features have been replaced with glitz and glamour. I wish I could have gotten the vantage pro, but it...

School me on the Snapon Modis (original)

The Local Snap on guy has a used Modis updated to 12.2 for Sale. Since a Vantage Pro goes for close to a grand used these days (usually) l figured a 4 channel with the scan tool as a bonus for a $ 1 ooo doesn't seem too bad . Comes with the cables, Keys , etc. , and the domestic and Asian...

    CPS Products A/C equipment?

We have a new all makes repair shop and are looking at automotive AC equipment. We haven't decided on an "automatic" machine or components yet, but have been shopping around a bit. One supplier has quoted us on CPS equipment, specifically an AR2788s auto machine, and in separate units, the...

Good deal on OTC strut tamer extreme (Canada)

Not sure if this applies across Canada but I got a flyer for Uni-select stores with this (OTC 6592) for about $650 or so. Comes with stand. Looks to be cheaper than even amazon and is way less than other local stores. Thought I'd give a heads up.

    1/2" impact with some umph!

I have an aircat 1150. Very powerful, I can pull semi truck nuts off with ease, and put some on a couple of weeks ago and checked the torque and the nuts didn't move (500 lb/ft). Axle nuts, etc no prob. Quiet too compared to the snapon ones at the shop. And good value for money

    Autel MD802 or Launch CPR123?

I have the 802. I don't use it very often since the shop has the souls ultra, but it's a good basic scan tool. They recently upgraded it to include tpms, park brake, and oil life reset but I haven't tried it yet on these. The live data is limited but useful for o2 fuel trim etc. lots of makes...

    Ignition probes for scope use?

K thanks. I'm looking for something that'll quickly give me an idea if I have spark or not, and that'll get me access to some of the harder to get to cop's without back probing. Anyone else?

    Snap On Vantage Ultra

After a month or so of use I am happy with the ultra. Having previously used the pico I really like the fact that I don't have to unfurl a laptop, a module, cables etc every time I need to test a power seat motor. I haven't missed the 2 channels yet, but I know I might at some point. Compared...

Getting low car on 2 post lift

The shop I just started at has a couple of Challenger 2 post hoists. It is a new shop, and for some reason they purchased a 15000lb and 18000 lb lift, but should have purchased a 15000 and maybe a 10 or 12000 instead. The ones they have are great for pickups, but there are lots of cars that...

Last winter I hunted for weeks for the right dvom for automotive. I wanted quality and reliability but had a budget. I found the 2 don't seem to go hand in hand. I looked seriously at amprobe and a few others but finally found new in box fluke 85 series III on ebay for a reasonable price and...
