Because of snow and a planned outing, I missed the only sale in my area this weekend.
However ........
I had planned on going to a model train show on saturday, but shoveled snow instead. The trip to the show got moved to sunday. While there, I stopped in to a vendor that sells cheap import tools for modeling. I picked up a pair of fine brass brushes (similar to the nylon airbrush cleaning set sold by HF) and a small "made in Pakistan" craft anvil. (pics 1&2)
But that's not why I'm posting -
I had mentioned to
joe.striper that I was going to the show, he said that it wasn't too far from him and that he had a surprise package for me that he didn't want to mail. He wouldn't tell me what it was. So we met up in a parking lot (outside Harbor Freight no-less). While he was visiting
NJ Marty to drop off a vise we arranged to get to him, Marty gave him this package to give to me as a thank you.
Inside the bag was 3 c-clamps with winged handles (my favorite

).

a 10" Cincinnati (Hargrave)
and a 2' quilting clamp
The two large clamps have already been wire wheeled and are sitting in the EvapoRust tub getting cleaned up. Soon they will get paint and will join my growing army.
Thank you Marty for your thoughtful gift, and to Joe for hauling them back from NJ.
