From a local auction, I was at about $100 for the whole lot.

1930 Snap-On 5/8 set, box is marked Snap-On Chicago

Rest of the stuff is mostly junk, a bit of Craftsman. The blackhawk ratchet and snap-on ferret breaker are the most interesting things.

Woo hoo! My buddy just delivered my first porcelain coated barn light fixture! He bought some stuff from me to so this was basically $20 off of what he owed me. He is bringing me one more when he can get it down too.

He had two more previously that I saw but he already had a buyer meeting him later and like me honored the agreement and sold them at the agreed upon price. I did tell him if they tried to lowball him I would snap them up immediately!

Can't quite read the partial sticker on there, it starts with "IVA"

Edit: Still don't know what the sticker said but the light is made by the famous Benjamin Electric Company, Benjamin and Made in USA is on the silver piece on op of the neck. This thing looks great and I haven't even cleaned the dust off yet!

Y'all may not be much on this but I love them.
Picked up an authentic Nathan Airchime train horn. This setup is a K3HA, used on most of the modern Union Pacific trains nowadays.
Paid $200.

I have a 5 gallon tank and a relatively small compressor. It's a viair 400c compressor i believe. Same type that people with bagged vehicles run. I think it fills the tank from 100-140 psi in a little under 2 minutes. 1/2 air line with a solenoid valve in between the tank and horns. Here's a picture of my setup.

Great score BB and Shadow!

Lol! Not quite but I will do the occasional honk for friends or scare people I know.

I commute in DC............I NEED one of those setups! I drive to work at 3 am, about 40 miles. Every SINGLE car I passed this morning (15+) was in the left lane. (I put the cruise on at limit+5 every day)

First major haul of the year was today. I picked up a Huot Tool Box with some tools included. Most notably of these tools were two BluePoint tap and die sets, a few odd Proto pliers, and a 1/4" drive Proto Inch-Pounds torque wrench. I also was able to bundle with this an older Snap-On 3/4" ratchet set that includes two extensions and a few sockets. Not bad for $80!

Nice find on the Snap-On but just so so on the Huot, in fact I'll be a bro and help you out and give you $80 for the Huot box.

I think I will hang on to the Huot box for now, but I plan on upgrading later, and would possibly sell. I am very impressed by the quality of the Huot, and personally find the slides way smoother than those on my Kennedy boxes.

I was joking, I love them and they are excellent boxes and you need to hold on to it. I have one and sold my Kennedy, Mac and Snap-On boxes in favor of the Huot.

I could always use another one just incase you did want to sell it. I would love to find a bottom roller chest in the Huot blue.

Apparently there was a bottom box that was taken by a family member before I got to the box, but the lady didn't know what brand it was, and I guess I will never know whether or not there was a matching bottom, but it would be a shame if they were split because the bottoms seem much harder to find then the top boxes.

Finally, my turn! Two planned stops today, first one didn't have tools out yet, said tomorrow but I did find a couple pair of Wiss scissors, cheap china scissors and an outlet strip for $2.25
01872.jpg

Second stop mentioned LOTS of tools, there were a bunch but only a few worthy of grabbing. They were asking $53, I offered $40 and we met at $45 on a Craftsman box, two pair of Channel Locks, Armstrong wrench, Husky impact swivel and Craftsman crowfoot.
01871.jpg

Included in that $45 was all these new refrigerant cans and two hoses.
01870.jpg

Along with this Craftsman lathe, motor with 4 step pulley and knives!
01869.jpg

Then on the way home I saw a sign and made a slight detour, good thing too, I snagged this barely used Craftsman edger for $30, didn't even haggle!
01868.jpg

Total today was $77.25 :rocker:

I missed out on two promising sales today. They were the first good listings in weeks. I'm sure the good stuff will be gone tomorrow.
I had to spend the day chauffeuring my grand parents to appointments instead. :willy_nil
I need a good stiff drink.
Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow. :fingersx:

I made one stop today at a sale that started yesterday. It's a good thing I'm really good at this because I was able to pull out some treasures from the chaos that was the backyard/garage

Plumb adze head
Plomb wheel knocker
Plomb 1 3/8 3/4" drive socket
P and c extension
Snap on speeder
Snap on breaker bar
Bonney obstruction wrench
Assorted craftsman sockets
Snap on/Cornwell 3/4-1" drive sockets. All painted black so nobody wanted them:D

Most of the tools were in a uppermost level of a Kennedy toolbox with another chest sitting on top. Nobody thought to remove the upper box and look in the lower boxes upper storage compartment. That's were most of the snap on was hiding:thumbup:

I also picked up some electric motors and a Johnson Seahorse outboard motor on the factory stand

Everything was 100.00:bounce:

Just for good measure, here is the motor and stand. It's got compression and all the parts are there. It's just gonna need some love and it will run again:thumbup:

I have a parts motor if your interested. Fairly compleat but missing the recoil start assembly. Has good compression too!

Alright! Yours is the same as mine, a 2-3hp. Some how they made it a twin cylinder and didn't think of increasing the bore and making it a single. Also replace the spark plug wires with the newer boot style. I have the nut and thread plugs/ wires and couldn't find the threaded style spark plugs around me.
