I had the morning off from work, and was able to hit two Friday estate sales, a first for me. Sale #1 was with SWMBO at a property with beautiful grounds and lots of garden stuff advertised. No mention or pictures of garage tools, but a few things my better half would enjoy. We arrived to a sign up sheet but got in pretty quick. Unexpectedly, we immediately found a basement with lots of good stuff, including a large Craftsman roller chest full of hand tools! The chest itself was overpriced, but I found lots of goodies inside.

1 Carson magnifying glass, bench mounted with built-in light
1 Irwin 14 inch by half inch spade bit
1 hand brace with no maker mark
2 paint stirrers
3 hole saws
1 Craftsman sink tool
1 Taiwan made PVC pipe cutter
1 really cool Speedex wire stripper
1 no name coax crimper
2 1/4" Craftsman v-series ratchet and socket drivers
2 carabiners
1 chain splicer
1 complete DBE Craftsman wrench set!!
2 Father's Day Craftsman universal wrenches unused
1 Shelly wrench, made in England
1 Vlchek 3/8" combo wrench
Finally, in a box with 2 music box makers I found 61 pence, a Pirates of the Caribbean medallion and a 14 karat gold ring!!
Outside, SWMBO made a pile as well.
We got the whole pile for $45.
I dropped SWMBO off at home and went to the second sale solo. I ran into Jakemac there, although neither one of us knew it. This sale gave out numbers, but I made it in on the third wave. Straight to the basement, where the the big ticket items had big tickets on them, as Jake reported. One again, I made a pile, but some of the items had tags on them and prices weren't negotiable:
5 12-inch ******* files and rasps (Lenox, Nicholson, Johnson, all US made), $3 each
A pair of Jorgensen clamps - $9 & $7 each
A Craftsman leather tool belt
A pair of Klein lineman pliers with the original box
A Knopp voltage tester -
2 turnbuckles
3 handle holders
1 Stanley catspaw
1 Craftsman corner clamp
Some impact air tools
A pile of conduit electrical connectors
$12 for the lot.
After I paid for the above, I made a lap through the back yard and when I came back in, I saw this tucked under an end table in the dining room:

The price tag said "$150 for all". It was full of Craftsman, Bonney, Proto, K-D and Dayton goodness. Yep, it went home with me. The bottom drawer had some of the cooler stuff. Anyone know what the red handled tool in three last picture is for?
Overall, a good day. Some stuff to add to my collection, some stuff to sell, some stuff to make SWMBO happy. A triple win!
