Man, it is a good thing it was a boy, otherwise you would be a grandmother.
Congrats!![]()
Now that's just dumb.
But very funny!!

Great news! More good seed to bless the earth! We need all we can get. Go Andrew!
Congrats on the new family addition.![]()
Sounds you're working hard at winning the pneumonia battle.
Congrats on the new GRANDSON!![]()
Congratulations on the new grandson. And if I remember he is fairly close to where you live. That is good.
Sounds like you are working on beating the P word and that there is someone watching you at home and at work.
Hope you had a good weekend
Dwight
Adding my congrats to all the above Grandpa! Another little boy in the family, that's great news.

Whoa! Congratulations Steve.
Keep this up and you may have to get into the toy business!![]()
Just for clarification to those who are confused by this statement, Guster is referring to Little Boy Toys.
Big Boy Toys are so very well covered in the Shed Downunder.
Congrats on the new arrival

A new QST partner. Congrats!!!!!
1/2: your plan for the grandsons sounds like a good one and add SAFETY 101 too.
did you get the ALL CLEAR from the Dr. on your "P" diagnosis?
hoping for the best and still sending prayers.
cheers and just had an IPA and heading out to use my 70 year old push mower on my little patch of lawn that is growing like a weed now with temps in the mid 80's today.
take care
We have friends who had seven boys. The lady always wanted a daughter but it was not to be.
Then she had granddaughters. She said "they just hang on my skirt, sometimes I wish they'd just go out and play like the boys".

All, I have just seen this local engineering firm retiring from business.
Here is some their gear..

HOTFR8, trust me I will be there...![]()
Most definitely, as you can see every thing is well looked after and this is a long established business with a great reputation..![]()

Be sure to take a folding stool.
That LeBlond lathe would be just the ticket for The Shed Downunder.
The South Bend looks fine too!
What a sale!! Be sure to take a folding stool.
Seeing that rack of round stock makes my knees shake.

I even spot a fly-press!
The sad part is all that tooling will be mixed up into lots rather than organised with the machines. Full set of machine tooling more than doubles a machine's value but the people selling don't know that. It is such a shame when it gets scrapped because a buyer only wanted some of it.
Glad you got the all-clear 1/2Cup. Sound like they all but checked the oil and water. Hope the swelling is just related to the lung infection.
Steve we can feel you trembling over here on the other side. Hope you don't have to wait too long?![]()
Looks like some nice CNC gear that would be perfect in the shed to cut that 16mm left hand thread arbor bolt for the cold saw - it should pay for itself in no time at all.
Pin cushion is an understatement. You're looking to bring all of that stock home, right?

1/2: looks like things are really getting back to normal in the SHED DOWNUNDER. all i need to hear is you going to the gym a few days a week to build up your strength so you can lift and carry some of those cool finds back home.
great news at the Dr., but GEESH they run you through a lot of tests. Again best of luck getting the C completely out of your body and sending it down the road.
just curious did any of the Doctors mention what might have caused your cancer so maybe you can change your diet or your ways?
thanks for the good words about my yard and even though i trimmed my grass edges to the sidewalk by hand I still didn't get them at nice as yours with your power tools so don't look too close.
have a great day!!

A great idea. The Auctioneer will see him when he stands on it to bid.
True, the LeBlond would leave a bit more space for one of the larger mills to fit in the shed as well.
The small "precision" South Bend lathe appears to be an Australian clone made by Hercus in the 40's or 50's. There were a number of local manufacturers of clones mid last century - I have a made in Melbourne Sheraton Precision AM in my own shed, but would happily push it to the side to fit in the CNC and a mill..
Seeing that rack of round stock makes my knees shake.

I suspect freight cost to Maine might put a downer on any potential purchasing opportunity however...something those of us in this part of the world are regularly frustrated by.
The shipping might kill the deal, but the feeling is still there.![]()

The auction is only a couple of hours away from me. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I will be able to drag some of it home - I'm pretty confident that if I move all of the stuff and motorcycles out of my shed I'll be able to squeeze the round stock and rack in between the CNC and a mill or two.
I promise to post photos when done.
I even spot a fly-press!

So true on tooling being separated from the machine. And too bad. They about all do it.

I certainly hope they take the time to sell for maximum profit. That's good for buyers and sellers. Too often around here they get in a hurry and mix valuable stuff with junk and it sells for junk price to people who don't know what they've bought. I don't think it's a plan, I think it is ignorance of the auction house people and their thought that the small tooling is just more junk. I'm assuming they are more discerning in the Big A. But the writeup and pictures did not seem to be well organized.![]()
Good to have a chat with other buyers anyway if you see something in a lot you like. Never know you could get a deal by taking unwanted items off their hands.
1/2: sounds like even if you don't buy anything that you'll still have some fun maybe talking to and seeing old (and new) friends.
take care and happy to hear your "P" is almost 100% gone from your system.
cheers and enjoy your SATURDAY!!

All, yet again another package arrived in the post.

Once again we are truly humbled by Andy's generosity.
Mrs 1/2 Cup ( JAC ) loves her trivet and has already put it to use.
It sits pride of place in the kitchen.
Many many thanks Andy...![]()

I'm a bit busy just now.
Who are you trying to fool? You are always busy.
